Anyone watch last night? I thought the marionette sketch was absolutely brilliant. Brilliantly conceived, but more brilliantly acted. And I thought Short was the standout.

It was great to see Will Forte! Talked to him awhile while backstage. I actually went home and binge watched Last Man On Earth and really enjoyed it! I think with the last three shows of this season, they have started to find there groove and hopefully it will be renewed for next summer!

So, I wanted to share this with you guys here.

The first Maya and Marty taping I attended was the monologue taping that aired on the Tina Fey episode. The moment Maya started to 'transform' into Beyonce, I was hooked and knew I had to go back to a sketch taping, which was only two days later.

For the past three weeks, I've attended at least one tapings each week, I've attended three sketch tapings and three monologue tapings. They are such a blast, getting to watch Maya and Marty together interacting with each other, and just having the time of their lives made the tapings such a joy!

I would also get so giddy every time the writers would quickly rewrite a joke in a sketch or monologue between takes. I just keep thinking how much fun that would be to do. To write for a TV sketch show.

I think the best part of each taping is the down time between each take, when Maya and Marty end up entertaining us in some way. Maya loves to take questions from the audience, she seems to be as humble as talented!

So, at the last taping, I raised my hand and Marty called on me, and I gushed like a giddy fan. I told them it was my 7th taping I attended (although I think it was actually my 6th? Oops.) and I said I just want to thank you guys for being the highlight of my week for the last three weeks, and I mentioned how I feel this show is becoming The Carol Burnett Show of our generation. The audience clapped, I noticed even the crew members on the floor was looking at me. Both Maya and Marty thanked me, and Maya said something about that being the golden standard, I only partially heard that comment, and then Maya was like 'how many times have you been here?' I told her, and she replied 'Good, God child!' in a super playful voice. But, then as the audience was laughing or clapping or something, her voice got real low, and she kept eye contact with me, and put her hands over her heart and I only heard bits and pieces, but she thanked me again and said that it really means a lot to her that I came so many times.

I wish that moment was taped because it was such a blur, and so surreal, and it all happened so fast.

And then a little while later, the stage manager sent the warm up comedian to ask me my name. I didn't want to get my hopes up in case nothing came from it, but I had a feeling something was going to happen.

Then once the taping was over, and I was walking out, I hear the stage manager, Gena, told me to wait a minute. No one else heard her say that, so a couple of people who worked with the audience kept asking me why I'm not leaving. I told them what happened, and they were a little confused. One of the women that works in the audience department had me follow her to get the other woman who works with her (they both recognize me now). But then the stage manager came up the aisle in the emptied out theatre.

Gena gave me this postcard that the cast wanted to sign for me! She said that what I said touched her, and it also meant a lot the cast and they wanted to give me something. It was super touching and quite surreal. She mentioned how special the show was to her as well, and that she hoped I would be back in the audience if they end up taping more shows. One of the audience coordinators told her how I'd get in the standby line early in the morning a few times, and Gena said 'we're gonna have to get her tickets next time to make sure she doesn't have to do that anymore', and the other woman who is in the audience department, told her that they already know me, and that was how I got my ticket for today's taping, they didn't want me to have to the standby line for the last show. Gena then introduced her self to me and gave me a hug, and I told her to thank everyone for me, and she said she would.

As I was walked out by one of the audience coordinators, she said she's worked for NBC for 7 years, and she's never seen that happen before.

Attached are photos of the postcard. How sweet is this?

They are all a sweet cast and crew. Gena is also one of the stage managers on SNL. Actually, a lot of the crew is from SNL. There was talk in the very beginning of it being a live show. I figure the idea was to get a crew together who knows the grind.

No one knows yet if they will bring the show back yet. NBC will probably re-air them and then there is also the Summer Olympics. More then likely if NBC does pick it up for next year it will again be in early summer after the SNL season. I really hope they do!

Season Finale is this Tuesday I believe.

I might be wrong but I think they are looking at this as  a Summer Show.
