Years ago Steve Allen had this great show called "Meeting of the Minds". He would 4 have actors each dress as famous people from the past. They would all sit at the table and discuss a topic using their views from their time era and as the historic person they were portraying. The idea was to have completly different points of view. For example, he might have Genghis Khan, Albert Einstein, Catherine the Great, and Gandhi. What if you used 4 BWW posters for a Meeting of the Minds? Who would you put at the table?
Margo Channing, for the insight. I learn something new everytime s/he posts.
D2, tazber, and DGG are the other three. I think they're funny.

yeah, i wanna add Alexyss Tylor to my mix!
The idea is to have four people with very different points of view, isn't it?
I have to think about it.
Yes- four very DIFFERENT minds. That's what made the show so interesting (and the fact that the actors stayed in character and really did their research about their character's opinions).

Hmm so it should be four posters who all range in their knowledge of theater?
DG - mature & wild
D2 - mature & more conservative
Jaily - young & wild
Liotte - young & more conservative
(nothing meant negatively or insulting)
I would like to see how all would react with each other, plus they are all some of my favorite people anyway!
Pajoey
Gotham
Roxy
Taz
That's one way to do it. I can also see putting sarcastic posters with "sweet" posters, or younger with older, or more conservative with very liberal, cynical and optimistic... whatever would be interesting. I haven't been on this board for that long but I can see something random like Cruel_Sandwich/DancingQueen/AbbaRabbit/TheatreDiva. I like reading all of their posts and they all seem VERY different yet very knowledgable.

SupMom - I have all the scripts from Mr. Allen's shows - it was one of my favorites.
DG- you are so lucky to have all of Steve's scripts. He was a brilliant man. My son is a history buff and he would love Meeting of the Minds. It was such an intelligent show and you learned so much watching it. Jayne Meadows was a frequent guest and she was always great. I wonder if there are any accessible videos/dvd's of this program?
I can't believe I've never heard of this! The horror! It sounds like a really fascinating idea.
As for who I'd choose...you're all strong personalities to me. I think any combination would prove entertaining.

Best12- An older and wiser examination of the material covered and presented with class
PalJoey- For reasons listed under Best, he holds a broad scope of information I'm sure
Munk- To add a younger perspective and make drama with strong assessments and a different take
SweetQ- You need to get some viewers and she will definitely be the Rosie of the mix.

holy crap - we could make millions selling tickets to that one!!!
Cruel_Sandwich to bring up random topics (vintage Debbie M.)
Margo Channing for insight, as people have mentioned (Barbara on a good day)
Best12Bars, for that dry sense of humor (What Joy should have been)
And Tazber, just because. (A little eye candy never hurt anyone)
I think Lizzie Curry needs ot be included in this, just for humour.
The concept is too huge for me to wrap my little brain around, but I would definitely want LizzieCurry involved in any meeting of BWW minds.
You definitely need Boobs at the table...smart, funny, and oh-so-nice!
Well, I'm done thinking. I don't think I read enough threads to put together the proper foursome so I'll leave it to youse guys.
Jane2, It's too big a concept for me to think about, either.
LOL, WW. I just looked at your first post and thought we both are in the same boat here.
I'm going to need to REALLY think hard about this two, but I would pay money to see Jersey Girl's line up.
