I realized last night just how much I miss this ridiculous show.
i used to watch that show all the time in second grade.
i had no idea what is was about or what was going on in the show, but i knew that watching it made me "cool".
:)
in 2nd grade??????
thank you Lauren, for making me feel older than I ever have!
;oP
Elphaba, I used to watch this show religiously. That, and 90210 (and Saved by the Bell. Do not judge!).
Strangely enough, I can't for the life of me tell you one single thing about it really.
But I never missed an episode.

Ah - I loved Melrose Place. I remember when it was on back to back with Beverly Hills 90210. We used to have "Mel and Bev" night.
One year for Halloween, a lot of people dressed up as the crazy Kimberly (with the big scar on her head).
Good times, good times.

Gotta love Sydney's outfit in the picture - very 1995 - with the denim vest and the long skirt. I had that outfit...Ick.
And Amanda's high powered "career" clothes. Those skirts! So short!
I watched this show religiously from 1994 until the final episode. During Melrose Monday's, I refused to take any phone calls and my brother and I would sit there in silence and watch. I used to be in love with Heather Locklear (guess she is a fag hag) and I still have tons of pictures of her hanging on my wall. I have the offical Melrose Place Companion (a book), the Melrose CD Rom, a huge Melrose Place poster from the final season, an autographed picture of Heather Locklear, and every single Melrose episode on tape. My absolute favorite was the bomb episode from the end of season three. Marcia Cross goes totally insane and blows up the building...fabulous! If anyone wants to chat about this wonderful show, please PM me. I am always willing to discuss it!

Didn't miss it that much . . .
I watched a bit, and watched the final episode. But, started to lose interest once Tracy Lords joined the cast.
I used to watch this, along with 90210, on Wednesday nights as well. I don't remember much that happened either. Except that I always wanted Billy and Allison to be together. I quit watching around the time Kimberly went all nutso. I was pretty young at the time and just couldn't keep up with the story.
I must admit though, that Desperate Housewives is a great substitute. I hope that Melrose Place is released on DVD soon.
I LOVED this show.
I wasn't allowed to watch it, but I did anyway.
Saucy!
Every Wednesday night, 90210 and Melrose Place! A group of five of us rotated whose house we watched at. Good times, good times ...

A friend and I used to tape it, and then go to her place after work for M&Ms - Melrose and . . . well, let's just say we both were smokers.
Marcia Cross goes totally insane and blows up the building...fabulous!
and I can picture Bree doing that on DH, you know?
We had Melrose Place parties at different homes.....it was a lot of fun, and WOE to he that talked during the show.....
I miss Melrose and 90210. The O.C. and Desperate Housewives aren't really doing it for me much lately.
I loved that moment in the bombing season finale when Kimberly comes running out of the basement holding the detonator: “Wait! It’s not what you think”…big close-up on Marcia Cross as a smile crosses her lips..."It’s worse."
I also remember watching the previous year’s season finale and seeing all these commericals for the news later that night…OJ Simpson’s wife had been killed and it was starting to look like he was involved (this was before the Bronco chase).
Michael Mancini was HOT! What a gorgeous man. That body. Those eyes. Mmm mmm mmm. Oh yeah.
I miss this show so much. Are there plans to release it on DVD?
there are no current plans to release Melrose Place on DVD. i have a feeling that 90210 will be released before Melrose, so once we see that 90210 is being released on DVD, Melrose is sure to follow!
and searching on google, there are "places" offering it on DVD......and they state that the first episodes or season were transfered from tape, so they may be a bit shaky. And apparently it's legal, but I just don't trust em.
TVShowsOnDVD.com is reporting that the first season (32 episodes!) of Melrose is finally being released on Nov 7th.
They also report in the same announcement that the second season of Twin Peaks may be coming out a few weeks after that (only five years after the release of season 1!).

TV Guide ran a fun little interview with Marcia Cross several issues ago. They asked her to comment on Bree’s "crazy season" on Desperate Housewives...
"When we got to the location where we were shooting those scenes [where Bree is institutionalized], I thought it looked familiar. And then I realized, 'This is the same place I was crazy in for Melrose Place!' "
