I leave my holiday music in my iPod shuffle year-round.
Barbra Streisand's "Jingle Bells?" is a great work-out song.

I just had a thought:
When Scrooge is redeemed, he's still a dick! He insists on having a huge Christmas feast at Bob Cratchitt's house, despite Bob being completely impoverished. I thought he was supposed to be redeemed!
That would be like me saying "Calvin! I'm throwing a party at your house! Because I'm nice now! Yay!"

Posted: 7/2/07 at 4:17pmNo actually Cruel-- He goes to his Nephew Fred's house for dinner. He does send a giant turkey ("Bigger than Tiny Tim") for the Cratchits to enjoy. And they do, because Bob is a half hour (!!!) late for work because he was 'Making rather merry' the day after Christmas. Scrooge is indeed a dick, pretending to be furious with Cratchit before telling him he's doubling his salary and buyign him a coal scuttle.

Of course, Cruel!
He was played by Donald Duck in the Mickey Mouse version (in which, oddly enough, Mickey Mouse had no major role).

Who else watches Christmas movies in July or August?
I actually find I like them more without the commercial hype attacking me from all sides.
When it's REALLY hot and summery outside... I like to put on "White Christmas" or "Scrooge" (with Finney).
Nothing cools me off faster. And I'm more in the spirit of the season then than when it actually hits me upside the head with a mallet in December.
