Good morning all you fabulous and funny people! it's nice to get some more love and attention since I went to bed. That is-all except for that fat ho Tiff.
Just the facts-I am so glad I know about that star Vega. It is now my favorite one, besides the only one I know. I Ican see from the photo that it is indeed the best star in the sky..It really IS blue! Do other stars come in colors? thanks!
And thanks for all the good wishes from youze guys who checked in late last night and this morning. I'd better start eating right away so that I can continue to be your favorite fat fat fatty and prepare my post to announce the new Cotd! BE right back with food.

I could be mistaken, but I believe Vega is also the star that Carl Sagan used in his novel "Contact" for the place that humans traveled to when other intelligence was found in the universe.
DG-I saw the movie Contact, if it's the same one. I didn't think it was so great, but the scenes when she reached that place were very eerie. eewwww.

Jane - it is based on his novel, but as in many other cases, they didn't really capture what it was that he was trying to say (imagine that!) His ideas were full of hope and wonder, and the scenes of 'encounter' were actually quite beautiful. I think he picked Vega because of the brightness already mentioned.
The scenes were presented in a strange, well, how can I describe it-shimmering, 3-D, out of focus, other-worldly way, which is kind of marvelous that they were able to do that but for me they were off putting.
OH-one more shoutout to Mominator, for all her confetti throwing my way! I LOVE confetti! almost as much as I love MSG~
*throws a bag of peanuts*
mmmm peanuts (unshelled?)
so.....Jane who is your replacement?
(and yes DG, it was Vega.....)
Of course Mom..wouldn't want Janey throwing the shells all over.
Veeeerrrry funny Boobs, feeding the elephants, are we? Well, get ready to hand over that fabulous tiara to today's Çotd.
I made sure this person was not already feted and they haven't been, so... I have come to know this person in person (oy) and in that short time we have become good friends, as if we've known each other all our lives. I think she's more than deserving of this honor. I also can tell that many of you already love her and rightly so. She may be at work right now and I hope receiving some good news but for now- I give you....MISS PENNYWISE!
