There was one very brief exchange, which in my opinion, in no way warranted the reaction.
I am still a bit confused as to why the response was posted, and all I can say is "Holy Overreaction Batman."
Yeah, I don't even know how to respond to that. It's happened quite a few times before, and was never an issue.

Yeah, I'm seeing less than a page's worth of rambling, if that much. Real classy, people, especially on this thread. Rath is hardly the first "controversial" Celebrity we've had.

Plum - what wonderful flowers!! We so need them.
Rathnait, congratulations! Perfect choice for St. Patrick's Weekend!! And, you know, it is my personal philosophy that there can never be too many opinionated Irish women in this world. Carry on! I loved the cool grass around your toes answer - very Irish!! My most pressing question - one I have wanted to ask you for the longest time - how do you pronounce your name? And if you could live during any time in history (not counting now) when would it be and what would you be doing?
And would you like a star (the twinkly kind)? Do you have a favorite one or would you like me to find one for you? I think I could find an Irish one, actually. Anyway, congratulations again!

Congrats, Rath! A worthy COD if there ever was one.

"now then, say you were cast in a show and during the rehearsal process they added a scene in which you had to sing a love song to another performer's exposed erect male genitalia from a distance of not more than 17.5", but you got to choose the song, what song would you sing?"
Thanks Papa, I've avoiding hearing ANYTHING about this new production of Three Penny Opera and you go and RUIN it for me!
Thanks for that pic Mamie! It's the closest I'll ever be to the old girl!
Is the "private conversation" orion59 referring to my brief exchange with rath about her meeting today? rath befriended a poster here (BBW) who she has struck up quite a friendship with. He is in NY for a visit and rath is meeting him for the first time (face to face) today. That is all it was about. Sorry if anyone felt offended, and left out.
Rath, since I have no patience when I find something I like, I have posted for you your Irish stars - and a bit of folklore, as well. You merit a whole galaxy - An Bealach na Bo Finne - the Path of the White Cow. (No, I'm not being fresh - this is a beautiful Irish name for the Milky Way. White cows were enchanted creatures in Irish stories.)
Wow, hey to everyone who has joined while I've been out!
justthefacts, thank you for the BEAUTIFUL Irish stars - I love it. My name is actually pronounced Rah-nit, and it means charm, wealth, and grace. My parents didn't give me a middle name, so after a bit of research a few years ago, I found this one and took it for myself. I knew I wanted a Gaelic one to offset my Italian first name.
If I could live at any time in history, I really think I'd pick the "Golden Age" of Broadway, and hopefully would have been a performer then.
Shamey - if my house were on fire, what would I grab? Well, last time I moved (September), I got rid of a LOT of stuff - I had been a bit of a packrat and wanted to free myself as it were, so I don't have a ton of stuff anymore, thank goodness. I don't think I own anything anymore that's irreplaceable. So probably, my phone and address book. Oh, better grab that laptop too.
Gifts? I'm one of those people who agonizes over giving just the right gift - so most of them are "great." The last one would probably be the one I gave my bf that made her cry - not an easy feat! The last great one I was given was tonight - getting to finally hug someone I've been very close to for over a year, but had yet to meet until this evening.
I think you'd be surprised to know that in real life, I'm quite afraid of confrontation and avoid it at all costs.
If we asked an important person in your life to describe you, what would he or she say? How accurate would it be?
That's a tough one - but I'll go with my bf and she would likely say funny, charming, insecure, talented, smart, loyal, impulsive (not necessarily in a good way)... and it would be very accurate.
Sunday morning bump for Rath, or should I say Rah? Nah, Rath just sounds better.
Yup, Rath works nicely here.

I just hope you will have enough time to eat everything!
Congratulations Rath!
Thanks for the explanation of your screen name. For me it always conjurs up images of some sort of mythical being...something out of Lord of the Rings or The Mists of Avalon.
Also...I loved hearing your entries in BWW Idol...although I have to admit that your voice was completely different than what I expected....not in a bad way...just different! If anything you sounded younger than I expected (and I mean that as a complement!...LOL!)
Again, congrats!
