I would like to know the origin of your screen name. When will you come up to Hartford to visit me? Don't wait for an invite because you are always welcome. When did you become interested in theater? I will get to your sexlife later.
Rathy-
What is your favorite episode of Will and Grace? Of Golden Girls?
(I'm one for the profound questions )
Oh damn, Sueleen found the real source of my questions.
they drummed you out of lodi, so you come crawling back to broadway. but broadway doesn't go for booze and dope, rathy.
now then, say you were cast in a show and during the rehearsal process they added a scene in which you had to sing a love song to another performer's exposed erect male genitalia from a distance of not more than 17.5", but you got to choose the song, what song would you sing?
Oh, my... INVENTIVE, papa.
::bust a move for rath::
I will get to your sexlife later.
Can we just skip this chapter?
Papa, I think anyone would gladly serenade exposed erect male genitalia if it happened to be your exposed erect male genitalia.
Or maybe not.
bb, that's a given. i am only curious as to what song she'd choose.
Not me, Papa, is my brother. Then again, looking at that tree, I guess it doesn't matter much.
And, be careful kids, the mods are watching.
Also, a fellow poster, who had given up on the biz some years ago, decided to change his life and go back into it. He was a big inspiration to me, and he knows it.
All those things combined helped me to chuck it all and have my midlife crisis.
That sounds interesting. What about this person inspired you? Is she successfully pursuing the dream? Auditions? Getting cast? How does she support herself financially while getting back into the biz? How will you?
Sueleen---I gotta ask about your new av. Betty Hutton in...
..."Singin' in the Purple Rain!" (a joint venture from Prince and Gene Kelly)
What's it from?
papa, I'd commission Stephen Sondheim to compose a new song for the occasion, working title "Get That Thing Away from Me!"
I would think the Humming Chorus from Madama Butterfly would be more appropriate.
(Oh, and thanks, best12. It is a studio portrait that I photo-shopped...spring is here and the April showers are just around the corner!)
Sueleen---Lovely! It made me smile.
Rathy---"Get That Thing Away From Me!" LOL! I'm assuming this is an up-tempo, not a ballad. With a hurried dance-break into a classy exit off-stage.
Just a hunch there.
geez, if you wanted uptempo you could have gone with swallow my pride by the ramones and an over the top orchestration.
It will be uptempo, but aria-like. High E at the end.
It will win me the Tony.
don't get c*cky.
Sounds like a situation of "operatic" proportions to me!
...And the Tony? ...Oh, that's a given.
Nice, papa!
And would it be too smarmy if during my speech I pontificate on how it should be the TonI award, since it's named for Antoinette Perry? That was always my plan.
