Your life is a song... what style is it written in, what's the vocal range of the piece, if it contains vocals at all and how many instruments .... ? It's an art song in the style of Fauré, true contralto range, for piano and voice. Well, either that or it's a funky rock song in the style of Velvet Chain with a ton of wacky instrumentation.
Your body is a book.... what's its name? Er...Grey's Anatomy? hehehe Or maybe, Dr. StrangeAmato or How I Learned To Stop Worrying And Love My Body.
Your mind is a painting.. how many colors and how long might I stand at the Louvre and wonder what it all means? A myraid of colors! Almost too many to count, and lots and lots of blues and greens in there... And I think you'd have to stand there for a while, 'cause it would be pretty abstract and swirly.

Thanks again to everybody who's made me feel so special today! =)
What do you like to do in your spare time for entertainment and relaxation and what was your favorite thing to do in Paris? I like to read, and I love "silly" science fiction movies. I also really enjoy travel, whether it be a day-trip in CA or somewhere more exotic. Speaking of which, my favorite thing to do in Paris is simply to walk around the city, absorbing the sights and sounds, then find a cafe to eat in (preferably on the sidewalk if the weather's good), and strike up a conversation with some of the locals. I also adore the Musée d'Orsay, Montmartre, Notre Dame, la Tour Eiffel, and the Boulmiche. (Boulevard Saint-Michel)
You have been a wonderful celeb Erika!
Thank you so much for all the marvelous answers!
You are an awesome person, and great fun!
Yay for Erika!

smartpenguin78: Awwwwwwwww... It's been my pleasure!
Thanks again to best12bars for picking me!
So, a couple of hours to go, and then I must relinquish my crown... Who will be my successor?? It's all just so exciting!!!
erika, I'm so sorry i've been so busy that I never asked you my usual question.......If you could interview 1 person (dead or alive)who would it be and what questions would you ask?

Congrats erika. :)
One more hug and a great big congrats to erika!! (Also the confetti toss. I have been a bit amiss as of late with the confetti)
So now the waiting begins......

Wow... You know, I've seen you ask that question before, and I've always thought it was a really tough one... I wish I'd taken the opportunity to give it some thought in advance, but I really didn't expect to be MBCotD! :-P
So, of course my first thought was Jesus Christ, but I know at least one person has already given that answer fairly recently...
OK, so I'm going to pick William Shakespeare. I would ask him if he really wrote all those wonderful plays and sonnets all by himself, and if it pisses him off that there are all these theories now that he didn't. I would ask him about his life - since there are many conflicting theories about who he actually was and where he lived, as well - and I would ask him if when he was writing, did he ever have any inkling that his work would survive for well over 400 years, or was he just trying to write a viable commercial product and is shocked by the continued accolades. Does he enjoy all the "re-imagined" interpretations of his work, or would he rather we stop changing time periods, gender-bending casting, etc. (I expect he'd say he loves it when it's done well, but that all to often that sort of thing is done as a gimmick to cover up a lack of vision in the director...) And really, why would you write something like Titus Andronicus?? I mean really. (The stage directions in that play are HILARIOUS! "Enter Lavinia, waving her stumps!" hahahaha) Anyway, I think a dinner with Mr. Shakespeare could be quite interesting.

Erika - so glad you got this honor and enjoyed your day in the sun! Congratulations! We look forward (and are in anticipation) to see who's next!
erika...great choice for an interview....BRAVA !!!
Now please don't give me a hard time when you have to give up your crown....I had to wrestle rath to the ground to get it off of her head.
Wonderful choice in having Erika as the mbcotd, her answers were honest and candid, and her journey as an actor is an inspiration to all those who dream of making the leap!

Thanks Craig, Wexy, and Mom!
BroadwayBoobs: LOL! Don't worry, I promise to be gracious when the moment comes...although that is a really gorgeous tiara, and it looks quite good on me...NO! STOP IT! (Slaps herself) I promise I'll give it back without a struggle.
EddieVarley! My husband! Thanks for stopping by and for the lovely sentiment! *blush*
OK, I realized I skipped a question from DayDreamer by accident!
If you could have anyone over for dinner, who would it be and what would you serve? Well, I already chose Will for Boobs' version of the question, so I think now I'm gonna go more modern and choose Bono. And I'll serve Ethiopan food, since that means we get to sit on the floor and eat with our hands, and it'll be a good backdrop for what I'm sure will be a very serious discussion about poverty in Africa. =) (Plus, I love him.)

(pssst erikra.... all of the past MBCotD made a copy of the tiara... just a suggestion.....)
One final congratulations to Erika! You have been a treat to get to know--I must admit that I am insanely jealous of all the wonderful career opportunites you've had!
How's the wrist doing?
Broadway Legend Joined: 8/12/04
Hey, Kitzy! Thanks so much, and the wrist is doing a lot better, thanks. It's still weak, and I do not have the same range of motion as I did before (I get sharp pains if I try to put weight on it), but it is MUCH better than it was a month ago. I may go to the Dr. for a follow-up when I get back to LA, just to be sure everything's healing properly...but I think I'm on the mend! =)
I didn't get in here yesterday and just wanted to say Congratulations!
It was great to meet you and your husband this weekend. Anyone who can hold her own with Stephen and Clay is very cool in my book.
you're not in LA? Where are you? I need to pay more attention) And......waiting breathlessly to see who will wear the crown today.........

Thanks, yodamarie! It was great meeting all you guys, too! =)
Elphaba - I'm in NY. I've been here for a couple of weeks, and I'm going back to LA on 4/2. I had a recording gig here, and since I was between gigs in LA, I decided to take this opportunity to check out the NY audition scene, etc. (And see my old friends from HS and college, and see some shows, yada yada yada...)
how very cool erika, I hope it was a fun and successful time.
and so the waiting continues.......

OK...the time has come! I hereby take my teary-eyed farewell walk down the MBCotD runway, and sonorously announce that my successor is...
Grizzabella!
A wonderful poster, (although he never stopped by when it was my day... *ahem*) - who has always been supportive and friendly to me, even back when I was a newbie to the OT board.
Congrats, Grizzabella! Enjoy your day!!!

YEA..Great choice Erika....Congrats Grizz. *gently removes tiara from Erika's head and places it gracefully on Grizzabella's*
What a brilliant choice!
Grizzy---You are a true "class act" and one of my favorite posters here on BWW!
*claps loudly*
I will be back, once I think up questions worthy of your attention.
Brava, Erika on a great 24-hour reign... and brava to you for making such an excellent choice for your successor.
