1. What is your favorite city that you do not mind getting lost in.
2. If you could go back in history and interview ONE of Henry VIII's wives, who would it be, and why?
3. Dick, Jane, Sally, or Spot, and why?
Great questions Elphaba--especially the one about Henry VIII's wives. Quite intriguing.
Erika -
Oscar Wilde notwithstanding, Grizz is a wonderful lady who knows by now (I hope) that I love her dearly and am thoroughly delighted that she's been picked to be the MBCotD!
Unfortunately I have to go to work right now, but I'll be back this evening with my questions. Have a wonderful day, J!
Congrats, Griz. I look forward to getting to know you too.
And thanks again to Craig for coming uup with this idea to begin with!
thanks kitz, it's one I've always pondered........I may do a seperate post on that later
Grizzy--You seem like such a genuinely nice guy. (GUY, Mamie... Grizzy's a guy. An understandable mistake, however! I often can't tell "gender" around here myself.) How did someone like you end up in the wild, often tense, fast-paced world of media "technology" as a profession?
I guess to put that more clearly... I'd love to know a little about your background! Where did you grow up? Where did you go to school? What did you study? What were your passions growing up? What led you to your current profession?

A true class-act. Well-spoken, thoughtful, aware and engaged. Oscar Wilde, indeed!
What is your ideal meal? What is your favorite comfort food dish?
Where's our Grizzy???
I hope he knows that it's his day! Methinks not... yet.

Oh my Gosh! I just checked in, and first: Thank you very, very much for the honor, Erika! My humblest apologies for not dropping in on your day. (I've been feeling under the weather and other issues have come up at home so I haven't been on the board for a couple of days). You are a truly wonderful person and I hope you enjoyed your day!
Now, I don't know if I can do justice to everyone's questions, and bear with me, as I'm at work, but I'll sure try! First, I have to address an issue that has come up lately. My gender.
I have a "thing" about being typecast,(and I can not abide labels -they're usually wrong); therefore, I am neuter - all genders and none. Simply a soul who wants to be known for my personality and ideas alone. I know that's weird, but it's me. A long time ago, there was a thread about gender. I said "Human." I stand by that, and beg your kind indulgence.
Now, questions: What inspires me? I kind of take this question two ways, with two anwers. I am very inspired by viewing the decorative arts and it kicks off my creative side and I want to create, too. I love the beauty that people have brought to the world in their creations. I think the ability to imagine and create is one of God's greatest gifts to us. Whether this is a durable art form, like paining or sculpture or even personal adornment, or a dramatic or vocal performance, it makes my soul soar.
The other thing that inspires me is that quality of the human spirit that is demonstrated in kindness, decency and respect for life. The selfless examples of others makes me want to do likewise and be a better person. Great question, Boobs, but hard.
Thanks for the good wishes, Katzarina!
Mom - Favorite cookie: Oatmeal-chocolate chip
Hero as a child: Robin Hood. He robbed the rich and gave to the poor! How cool is that!
Book as a Child - That Babar the Elephant books. They seemed so interesting and exotic to me.
Way to spend a rainy Saturday: Sleeping in, then having a leisurely brunch with Dave and my animals. Then indulging one of my artistic passions, such as designing a piece of clothing or jewelry (I'm an semi-amateur designer) and watching a classic movie, or listening to some favorite music.
Elphaba: Thank you for the jewel! So lovely!
1. City to get lost in - Albuquerque, New Mexico. I've mostly only been through it to or from the airport, but I'd love to investigate it more fully.
2. Henry VIII's wives: I'm really not a student of this period of history, but I'll try. I think Catherine Parr. He broke her heart, and she was probably his only real soulmate of the lot. I would like to hear her version of the story.
3. Dick, Jane et al: Spot. I'm an animal lover.
Best12bars: I grew up in northern NJ, and studied liberal arts in college. I worked as a teacher for a little while, then as a technical writer for a telecommunications engineering company. Gradually, I moved into doing the actual system and spectrum coordination, and found I had a talent for figuring out how to make uplinks work so that they wouldn't impact the rest of the communications environment. It's like working out puzzles. I suppose there isn't a real career plan, there. It's just the way it happened!
DG - Thank you so much for your kind words! I promise to try to be worthy of this honor!
(As the tiara slips over one eye, tangles with glasses and hits me in the nose.)
Love to all! More later!
Congrats!!! You are deserving!

You are most welcome for the honor, Grizz, as you are a very deserving (gender-neutral) person!!! Also, And I'm sure you have not had the time to go back and read the posts from "my" day, but I think it's a very cool coincidence that we BOTH said "Robin Hood" as our Childhood Hero answer!!!

While I still have a second before I REALLY have to work, for Kissmycookie: Ideal meal: Dave does something amazing with chicken breast cutlets and half a dozen spices that is out of this world. I know he uses soy sauce and cajon spices and some other things. Anyway, it's delicious. So, that, with saffron rice and broccoli.
Comfort food: bread pudding. The utlimate fat loaded luxury!

What five people with public voices - either living or dead, as long as their message is available - do you think are worth listening to, and why?

Thanks, Caitie!
Erika - I haven't gotten to read your anwers yet, but I sure will! Re: Robin Hood: Just goes to show we both have an altruistic (and possibly larsenous) streak! Lol!
In the spirit of all that is pompus and overblown, I bring you a questionare which has been answered by many a celebrity here at the Actor's Studio. Created by Bernard Pivot, they are probably the most important questions ever posed by humanity.
1. What is your favorite word?
2. What is your least favorite word?
3. What turns you on creatively, spiritually or emotionally?
4. What turns you off?
5. What is your favorite curse word?
6. What sound or noise do you love?
7. What sound or noise do you hate?
8. What profession other than your own would you like to attempt?
9. What profession would you not like to do?
10. If Heaven exists, what would you like to hear God say when you arrive at the Pearly Gates?
Congrats Grizz... I look forward to reading your answers to all the questions.
My questions:
If you were a tree, what tree would you be and why?
If you could have anyone over for dinner, who would it be and what would you serve them?
