Congrats Kitzy !!! I just had to brighten up the tiara for you...it had Grizz's paw prints all over it.
My 1st question....What inspires you?
Kitz: What is your ideal meal? And what is your favorite comfort food dish?
HAH, Bluemoon! You'd think that since they were my questions, I would've thought out my answers by now. But then, you'd be greatly mistaken
1. What is your favorite word?
A good question. Probably splendifferous. It's just fun.
2. What is your least favorite word?
Thanks to Erika, it's now smegma. How disgusting!
3. What turns you on creatively, spiritually or emotionally?
Talent and charisma
4. What turns you off?
Ignorance
5. What is your favorite curse word?
C*nt! If my mother knew how often I use this word, she'd probably die of shame. It's just fantastic
6. What sound or noise do you love?
That cute little yawn that kids make. Or the almost purring grunt that my dog makes when he's happy
7. What sound or noise do you hate?
Popping joints. Probably my biggest pet peeve.
8. What profession other than your own would you like to attempt?
Actress, of course!
9. What profession would you not like to do?
Teaching. God bless you Kel, but my year and a half as an ed major was enough for me.
10. If Heaven exists, what would you like to hear God say when you arrive at the Pearly Gates?
You made a difference. Now welcome home, my child.
Thanks to all the wonderful people on BWW! You're the reason I'm not more productive at word
Great choice, Griz!!
Go, Kitzy!!! A fellow Kansas kid! Waaa-hoooo!!!! (in my best rebel yell)
Question: What's your favorite film? Musical? Play? Actor? Actress? TV show? Book? Song?
Congrats Kitzy!!!
What is the accomplishment thus far in your life that you are most proud of?
Kitzy!
How great!
You know I think you are awesome!
Have fun, but not too much fun.
Grizz- I hope you enjoyed your day, it was marvelous to be able to learn more about you.
Whoops! Griz, I apologize for failing to send you a congratulatory post. I'll go back and catch up on your (I'm sure) enlightening posts. Congrats!
And now, on to Kitz! Congrats, lady!
DG--Tom Hanks is my favorite actor! God bless you for picking that av!
If and when you leave Kansas, where would you like to end up, and why?
God, I hope I leave Kansas. I could honestly see myself living in Kansas City--it's close enough to home that I could see my family and yet big enough that I'd have more of the culture I CRAVE. Plus I simply adore the Plaza.
What inspires you?
Beauty inspires me, over anything else. Whether it's in nature, literature, music, film, or theatre. My mom says that I create worlds for myself in fantasy because it's an escape from my everyday life; she's probably right.
What is your ideal meal? And what is your favorite comfort food dish?
My favorite meal is either my mom or my grandma's Chicken Paprikash. Serve it with dumplings and asparagus and it's sooooooooo amazing! Add some Piesporter Michelsberg Valtrupchen and you've got yourself a meal! It's even better when it's for your birthday so there's homemade Red Velvet cake with cream cheese icing
Comfort food? This is going to reveal how much of a fatty I am, but McDonald's hamburgers. They are simple and delicious.
What's your favorite film? Musical? Play? Actor? Actress? TV show? Book? Song?
Film: Moulin Rouge
Musical: Les Miserables
Play: Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?
Actor: Tom Hanks
Actress: Audrey Hepburn
TV Show: Veronica Mars
Book: Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte
Song: "On My Own"
What is the accomplishment thus far in your life that you are most proud of?
Good question. Probably going to London without any of my family for a whole week. I've never been outside North America (unless you count Jamaica), and never traveled that far without my parents. The fact that I not only enjoyed myself but more or less planned out my itenerary was a real growing experience. Plus the fact that I raised almost all the money myself and still managed to come home with $600!
Yay for Kitzarina!
Lovely answers! I'm a big fan of the Plaza in KC myself! Especially at Christmas when it's all lit up (like me).
What do YOU see as the best part of growing up in Kansas?
Congrats! Enjoy your day!

Yes, Kitz, having also grown up in Kansas, what is and was the best part of growing up in Kansas?
2nd question from me....if you could interview one person (dead or alive) who would it be and what questions would you want answered?
Yeah Kitzy! And, yeah to Grizzy who I think I missed.
Question: Do you prefer when Boobs uses the paddle, the whip or the belt in the shed on Friday's?

Kitz - I was born in Kansas City, and I love the Plaza as well, and Westport, and Starlight, and . . .
Yeah Kitz!
Enjoy your day.
And, I visit KC often, and enjoy the Plaza, if that counts!

Kitz! Your impeccable taste in TV should be an example to us all. Congratulations.
YAY KITZY

what is and was the best part of growing up in Kansas?
Honestly, not much. I don't really consider myself a true Kansan since I didn't move here until I was 4, and I've never felt that connected. The food is fantastic here--there's more restauraunts than you could shake a stick at and the beef quality is unmatched.
I also enjoy that it never takes me more than 30 minutes to get from one end of town to the other.
But overall, I have to go with the take one of my friends made on the new state slogan:
Kansas, as bigoted as you think!
If you could interview one person (dead or alive) who would it be and what questions would you want answered?
I would interview Audrey Hepburn. She is such an inspiration to me not just as an actress, but as a woman, a human being, and a humanitarian.
I would want to know how she found the strength to carry her through the horrors of WWII, two failed marriages, and a life that was cut tragically short by cancer. I'd also like to let her know that it was her frailty, her faults, and her struggles when combined with her incomporable grace that made her the fairest lady of them all.
Words cannot express how much respect I have for this truly beautiful woman.
Do you prefer when Boobs uses the paddle, the whip or the belt in the shed on Friday's?
I have to go with the whip. In the words of Mary Sunshine, "We'll play with whips and nipple clips and candle wax!!!"
Sounds like Kitzy needs to get out of the wheat fields and see the rest of the world for a while! You really should. I, too, wasn't born in Kansas. Just like you, we moved there when I was 4 (although from New York City, where I was born).
I grew up in the university town of Lawrence, with a much more liberal environment than is typical for Kansas in general. Douglas County was the one "blue square" in the entire sea of red during our last national election! (One blue square, for God's sake!) But I know what you mean about that "bumper sticker slogan." There's a lot of truth to it. Thank God my childhood stomping ground was a little better off than that.
At least you can see it for what it is! How do you think growing up there shaped who you are today? (your general beliefs, etc.) You don't seem to have the "popular shared attitudes" (thankfully).
Kitzy i'm loving your answers...even the gutter ones.
A lovely bunch of balloons for a lovely MBCotD.
Congrats, Kitzy!
