Grizzabella - I'm sorry I wasn't online today, so I'm sorry I missed all the fun.
Just wanted to say congratulations, and hope you enjoyed your day!

I don't come from a musical or theatrical family, but I was very close to an uncle who loved music of all sorts, and musicals. He introduced me to "My Fair Lady," "Camelot", "Oklahoma", all of the classics. When I was old enough, he took me to shows and concerts when he could. He didn't have much money so we went to movie musicals a lot. And he bought lots and lots of cast recordings. When I was a teenager, I fell in love with "Oliver!" It was sort of the first musical I chose for myself! Later my tastes evolved to include straight plays. One of my fondest theatrical memories was seeing Alan Rickman and Lindsey Duncan when they were in NY for "Les Liaisons Dangereuse." It was a stunning play, and I was blown away.
NYadgal, thank you for your good wishes! It's been a very stimulating day! And quite a lot of fun!

I know this thread is all about the fabulous Grizzabella (I chose him/her, after all), but I wanted to reply to justthefacts...
Justthefacts2: My current favorite star is Rigel. Mainly because it's bright and blue. (My favorite color.) =)

Justthefacts2, I have the Irish only a very little! But it's a glorious language that someday I'm going to study properly. My father came from the Gaeltacht in upstate NY, so I think I owe him that. Thank you for the beautiful picture of Polaris! My favorite. The guiding star of mariners; the fixed point in an ever revolving sky.
DG- Thank you for your kind words. I'm happy to be part of this community.

Thanks, everybody again, for a really interesting day! I've had great fun answering the questions. It's now almost midnight in the Eastern Time zone, and us ole folks need our sleep! So God Bless you all! Goodnight.
Tomorrow morning, as close to ten as I can get on here, I'll name my successor!
Erika, it is so cool that you have a favorite star - the beautiful brilliant white Rigel, the hunter's foot or sandal of Orion. You must have seen him rising in the bare branches of your beloved Japanese maple in your December birthday sky. Rigel is breathtaking in the winter. Since I don't want to repeat best12bar's picture, I have two different ones - a smaller showing the constellation and then a gorgeous close-up of Rigel himself. In the first, he's lower right:
Erika, I found your Rigel in Japanese starlore in a form so perfect for you, the actress - the stars of Orion are the kimono sleeve stars, the long rectangular shape of the sleeve when a woman holds her arm out, and Rigel is the bottom sweep of the sleeve dipping towards the earth.
Hi Grizzabella, I'm so sorry that I missed your day. Time got away from me at work yesterday, but I just got caught up on all of your answers and I wanted to add my name to your growing list of admirers.
Congrats!

Congrats Kitz! What a delight you are!
In the spirit of all that is pompus and overblown, I bring you a questionare which has been answered by many a celebrity here at the Actor's Studio. Created by Bernard Pivot, they are probably the most important questions ever posed by humanity.
1. What is your favorite word?
2. What is your least favorite word?
3. What turns you on creatively, spiritually or emotionally?
4. What turns you off?
5. What is your favorite curse word?
6. What sound or noise do you love?
7. What sound or noise do you hate?
8. What profession other than your own would you like to attempt?
9. What profession would you not like to do?
10. If Heaven exists, what would you like to hear God say when you arrive at the Pearly Gates?
Well, you knew SOMEONE had to ask!
