why are the businessmen squaredancing?
It's Brokeback Day at IBM
In honor of this special occassion, I have asked BWWs own Poet Laureate to compose a poem.
A humble acceptance
I here do declare
For Broadway, for theatre
For all such fanfare
With thanks to Corine
For her kind nod to me
In the spirit of springtime
Let us all merry be!
Your Mamamia Sammy2

Papalovesmambo asks: "If you could enact one rule that the peoples of the earth would have to follow under the penalty of a screaming death at the hands of pygmy torture masters, what would it be and why?"
Answer: I would teach people to learn the fine art of sarcasm.

MM2 - Have you ever actually met Star Jones? And, when did you become such a fan of Star?
Congrats MM2!
How is the lesbian thing coming?
Congrats, Sammy!
Here's a question for you: Do you have any non-theater related hobbies?
brdlwyr asks: "MM2 - Have you ever actually met Star Jones? And, when did you become such a fan of Star?"
Answer: I have been a fan of Ms. Jones-Reynolds since her days on Court TV when she was known by her given name, Starlet Jones. I grew to love her more and more each day. Watching her every morning on the View gives me such satisfaction. I think, if she can make it... so can I! I feel like she is the Oprah for our times. And, no, I have not had the opportunity to meet her yet.
Shira asks: "How is the lesbian thing coming?"
Answer: Girl! It is a lot of work. I don't know that I'm cut out for it.
iflit asks: "Here's a question for you: Do you have any non-theater related hobbies?"
Answer: Thank you for your kind words. In no particular order, I enjoy cooking, reading, watching movies, going out to nice restaurants and doing yoga.
Oh, MM2. Good luck. And it IS hard work.
Sorry I'm late with the tiara..I had to throw a net around Corine and wrestle her to the ground to get it back....and I thought she wasn't gonna be a problem..huh. Congrats Sammy !!!
BTW.....What Inspires You..besides Corine's corner.
Now that I know which Sammy we are talking to...
A shy friend of mine who can't bring himself to ask this question wanted me to do it for him.
If you were a snow globe, what kind of snow globe would you be and how much do you think people would be willing to pay for you?
MMS
Congrats!
What are some shows you are most excited about in the next 12 months. Would you care to give us any Tony predictions? What the was the first broadway musical (on broadway) you saw. If you could cast Star Jones in a musical - past or present, what are some musicals you'd like to see her perform in?
Broadwayboobs asks: "What Inspires You..besides Corine's corner?"
Answer: A woman in a black skirt and a pair of heels
Sueleen gay writes: "If you were a snow globe, what kind of snow globe would you be and how much do you think people would be willing to pay for you?"
Answer: That is another easy one. I would be a BCEFA snowglobe because the money goes to a good cause. I think that people would be willing to pay whatever amount they think is appropriate to support the charity.
breast implants: pro or con?
Your husband Al: Pro or Con?

If you could cast Star Jones in a musical - past or present, what are some musicals you'd like to see her perform in?"
Answer: Even though it has been getting mixed word of mouth, I am very excited to see the THREEPENNY OPERA. I am a huge Cyndi Lauper fan. I am also looking forward to SHINING CITY.
The first Broadway musical I saw was ANNIE with the adorable Sarah Jessica Parker. I loved her then and I love her now.
I could see Star in a number of roles. Some are obvious: Effie White, Audrey II, Mrs. Potts, Kate Monster. I also have a few more obscure choices: Lady Macbeth, Clara in LIGHT IN THE PIAZZA, Babe in PAJAMA GAME or even Elphaba. Did you see the episode of the View when Star fulfilled a life long dream and sang on National television? The woman can do anything.
