What kind of jazz do you enjoy, Craig? Instrumental vs. vocals? Old skool?
Craig:
How long have you known Rob? How did you two meet? How did you come up with the idea for BWW?
Thanks.
Congrats Craig!!!! Who is your favorite contestant of Bww Idol? **cough, Spidey, cough**

Oh.. depends on my mood. Sometimes I enjoy the trios just playing instrumental, other times I like the more funky and contemporary sound. I'm also partial to the big band jazz sound with the likes of Basie, Miller, etc. Also HUGE fan of Bourban Street and the Jazzfest in New Orleans. Only been twice, but plan on going many more years in the future. I also love listening to vocalists who trust the material. Love when they make it their own, but I don't care for what I call "vocal masturbation" - which is why I find it difficult to watch American Idol.
"How long have you known Rob? How did you two meet? How did you come up with the idea for BWW? "
I've known Rob for roughly three years. We met online as per the story posted earlier. Rob had already launched BroadwayWorld.com at that time - but it was still very much in its infancy. That first year saw TREMENDOUS growth - not only in site features, content and exposure - but also readership!
"Who is your favorite contestant of Bww Idol?"
Oh. Well I'll have to listen this weekend, won't I. To be honest, I think the concept and execution has been great - but I haven't had enough time to check it out. I'll do that this weekend though.
I usually don't ask questions, and now I am worried that a similar one has already been given. (I swear I read the thread.)
What do you find most rewarding about life?
And about working on this site?
What do you find most rewarding about life?
Love and Success in all forms. It can be a baby's first step or a friend finishing a marathon to someone beating cancer or rising up against other diversity. There's not one thing I find most rewarding per se - I think the most rewarding thing about life would have to be living. As corny as that sounds.
And about working on this site? Depends on the day LOL.. For the same reason so many of my friends who are performers enjoy the experience they gift to their audience, I would say that the site holds the same for me. Knowing that thousands and thousands of people come here for whatever reason and get something out of it. Can you really ask for something more rewarding than that?

What anti-virus software do you recommend for home computers?

Craig - if someone had only a day to spend in New York City what would you tell them them to do or see and why?
"What anti-virus software do you recommend for home computers?"
I don't beleive in anti-virus software. I love having my system crash over and over. Kidding of course. I use Syamntic's full blown system and so far have had only one incident in over 10 years...

Only one day? And NYC? Why couldn't the question be about Phoenix - a city you can do in about an hour.. hmmm
before I answer - clarify - has this person ever been to the city before - or is this their one and only day?

Let's make it hard (just because). Pretend it was someone from the rural midwest and he had never been to NYC before. He has 24 hours to see the sights.
Start the day off with H&H bagels and coffee and watch the sun come up over battery park with a view of the statue of liberty. From there head to Chinatown and Little Italy and have lunch in either location. Afternoon head north and visit St. Patricks Cathedral, New York Public Library and the Metropolitan Museum of Art or Natural History. Not for "full on" touring - but for the experience. While on the east side - a visit to Serendipity or Dylan's candy bar might be in order. From there, a trip to times square. Pick up tickets to a Broadway show and then walk around the area. For dinner, it would really depend on a) what was for lunch and b) what cuisine was preferred. After dinner - the show. Post show I would grab an hour at Angus for a drink and then head downtown to the village and listen to some live music at a club (which club would depend on the taste of the individual) After "closing" the club, a nice leisurely walk (if possible) back to wherever they were staying.
There's a million and one things to do - so hard with only 24 hours. I think I was realistic with the time constraints. I also reserved my experience to manhattan. Clearly there are amazing things to do in all the boroughs...

I just might take tour tomorrow. Looks fun.
Just popping in, to say a huge THANK YOU to Craig for all his efforts and hard work for this site ! You have provided the theater community, all around the world, with the best meeting point ever !!! May all your dreams come true !
Thanks for all your work Craig!
Craig, my personality question: If you were any building in the world, what building would you be and why?
If you could have anyone over for dinner, living or dead, who would it be and what would you serve them?
If you were any building in the world, what building would you be and why?
Ummm.. in the world? Gosh that's a toughie! I think the colloseum. I've often been told I have an old soul and there's so much history and lore there.
If you could have anyone over for dinner, living or dead, who would it be and what would you serve them? I feel I'm repeating myself (sorry for that) - but it would be anyone or all from my list of people I would want to interview. And for a meal - well why not make my perfect meal (from mussels to sundae!)
I'm signing up for that tour, Craig!
My only question - are you having fun?! Hope you're enjoying the celebration.
I am having fun. Although I will agree with all those that came before me - it's also a lot of work (and thinking.. ouch! lol) but keep the questions coming!

Craig - I must add my sincere thanks for all you have done to make this such an amazing place with which to be associated. And a special thanks for this particular thread, which has been entertaining, educational, and even occasionally inspiring.
My question is one you asked me:
What are the three greatest inventions during your lifetime, and why?
Craig- If you could take any two BWWers on vacation with you who would it be and where would you go?
