Congrats gh!
If you were recuperating in a hospital, who would you want in the bed next to you, excluding relatives?
What has given you the most pleasure in the last year?
What's something that we would be surprised to learn about you?
If your house were on fire, what would you grab on the way out?
If we asked an important person in your life to describe you, what would he or she say? How accurate would it be?
What’s something that you’ve never done, but have always wanted to try?
What’s the last great gift that you gave someone? And, that you were given?

Finish each day and be done with it. You have done what you could. Some blunders and absurdities no doubt crept in; forget them as soon as you can. Tomorrow is a new day; begin it well and serenely and with too high a spirit to be enbered with your old nonsense. ~ Emerson

Oh. my goodness!
To wake up to this! What an honor. Thank you all.
Now, to business...
In order, Peach first...
What's your Starbucks (or coffee shop) order? Peppermint mocha. Two of my favorite flavours... and caffeine!
What's your favorite ice cream? Strawberry...as long as there are juicy bits of berry in there somewhere.

What inspires you? People around me with energy and drive.
If you could spend 1 day with 1 person (dead or alive) who would it be and what would you tlak about?
I would spend it with my maternal Great Grandfather. I never met him but keep hearing what a remarkable man he was.
If you were making a scrapbook of your life...what things would we find in it?
Oh, dear. I think that I better keep things out of that scrapbook. Oh, hang on, I was a Brownie Guide. That's a safe thing to put in there...

Of the classics that you've so far studied, whose work do you enjoy the most?
Euripides and Strabo. ONe for his rulebreaking brilliance. One for his accuracy - a rarity in ancient writers.

Cookie, dear. Thank you for those beautiful balloons! We are a little overcast and damp this morning, so the balloons make up for it wonderfully.
Back tot he questions:
And what is your ideal meal? Your favourite comfort food dish?
One meal could cover both questions - my Mother's roast chicken. That lady has a way with a bird.

Thank you, DD!
If you were a tree, what tree would you be and why? I think I would like to be a Mountain Ash, a eucalypt that grows tal and straight. It can withstand the most horrific situations and come out an even better tree.
If you could have anyone over for dinner, who would it be and what would you serve them? I never know what to answer for this question... Oh, yes I do...My friends at Mojitoland. I would serve them the very best of Australian produce.
If we went out with you and your best friend, what story would he/she tell us about you that you wouldn't have told us yourself? This is another 'Oh, dear' situation. She would tell you about the time I killed our science project goldfish... it died from a surfeit of love...honest!
And now my myspace rip-off questions:
What goal would you like to achieve this year? Finally decide which Masters degree to do.
Your weakness? Chocolate
Your biggest fear? A chocolate famine.
First thought waking up? My goodness, what is that doing there?
Do you shower daily? Absolutely
Have you been in love? Yes.
Do you get along with your parents? Yes.
Coffee or Tea? Both
Cats or Dogs? Had a cat when I was young. But, now I live in a pet-free building.
And...
What would Lucy Van Pelt's response be when told she was CotD?
She would tell you that it was about time, but she was a already a celebrity everyday.

Yep, there is good ol' Euripides, Cookie!
Hi, Franklin and thank you.
What is your favorite role you'd one day like to play (soon as you get cast on Broadway)?
Well, I am actually a playwright, so I would love to create the bare bones of a memorable character one of these days and let the brilliant actors around here perform the role.
Which is your favorite Broadway songwriter/songwriter team? I'm another Sondheim freak.
What do you do first when you wake up in the morning? ("getting up" doesn't count) Get myself a glass of water. If I don't get that first glass, I find that I get too far behind my quota for the day.

Thank you, DD! Delicious.
What are your top five theatre experiences?
In no particular order my favorite experiences include:
The first shows that I ever saw as a very little girl. While I couldn't tell you exactly what I saw as a three or four year old, I can tell you that it was my Great Aunt Edith who took me to the Princess Theatre. I will never forget the marquee with its iron work and lights.
My first Broadway show was Kiss Me, Kate. I can't believe that it too me until the year 2000 to get to my favorite city. The anticipation, the excited audience and the energy flying off the stage made for a memorable night. But, heck, I've been blessed in the shows and performances that I have seen in New York this decade. I could never complain about seeing people like Donna Murphy, Audra MacDonald, Patti Lupone, Michael Cerveris, Raul Esparza, Stokes, Marin... I've been fortunate.
Seeing Hugh Jackman's stage debut in Melbourne. He was only a featured performer, but you know, now, I couldn't tell you who had the lead in that show...
I have had the great good fortune to see some fine performances here at home, but of all the local performers, I would have to say that Caroline O'Connor is a cut above. So, anytime that I have seen her on stage - Chicago, Bombshells, Piaf, Over the Rainbow - would be a highlight.
Anytime that I have been to the theatre with my best New York friend.
Man, I went on and on and on...sorry.

Now to those questions:
What are your favorite musicals? Well, my favorites include A Little Night Music, Company, Sweeney Todd, Passion, Guys and Dolls, South Pacific, Last Five Years, Chicago.
What are your favorite Chicago sites? Walking along the Magnificent Mile, the view from the John Hancock Building, Western Springs (yes, I know it's not on the tourist trail), Museum of Science and Industry (my uncle Jim used to take me), and don't forget the Jelly Bean and Ghiradelli's!
