Since appreciation threads have been minimized, I thought we could create a single thread for "Message Board Celebrity Of The Day". In this thread we can celebrate our appreciation for members of the BWW posting community.

In addition to normal posting guidelines (i.e. no personal attacks, etc)

1. The Board Celebrity of the Day is for a calendar day. In other words - today there will be a poster awarded the title. By 10am tomorrow, a new member is awarded the title.

2. A member may not be the Board Celebrity of the Day twice in a 365 day period. In other words - you get one day. Like a birthday.

3. The reigning Board Celebrity chooses the next Board Celebrity. If the current Board Celebrity doesn't post and/or doesn't choose the next Board Celebrity, then the first poster after 10am(eastern standard time) may nominate 3 people (who have not been COTD before). A second poster must eliminate one of the three. A third poster then eliminates a second which will indicate who the next celebrity is. ** Please note: Friday's MBCotD reigns until Monday, 10am. **

For example:

I could nominate (after 10am if the MBCotD didn't choose a successor) Rob, Jose and Dollypop for example. The next poster after me would kick a person off that list (for example Dollypop) which would leave Rob and Jose. The next poster would eliminate either Rob or Jose leaving the new MBCotD

4. The posts in this thread MUST be relevant. Banter is fine, but please try and stay on topic to honor the MBCotD.

5. As always - the board moderators have the right to delete posts that they deem inappropriate.

6. You MUST indicate why you have selected your poster as the MBCotD.

Soooo, Jessica, if you could change one thing in your past, what would it be?
First impulse is to say nothing, as I am happy with who I am today and I think you're past shapes you. But I would probably say a missed opportunity I had and was to dumb to follow through with.

And what will you do to make my trip to journey to London even MORE enjoyable?
You'd like to know that wouldn't you...he he he.

What Inspires You?
People. I love meeting new people. I meet new friends everywhere on the subway, on trips at the supermarket, EVERYWHERE. I believe everyone is interesting and has a story to tell just ask them about matters to them. We all have passions.

2) If you can spend 1 day with 1 person (dead or alive) who would it be and what would you talk about?
This is soooooo hard.
I would love to be able to meet my older sister. I know it sounds dumb, but I don't know her and don't dare to contact her at the moment. Long story. But she has a daughter and I would love to meet my niece. So, one day.

3) If you were putting together a scapebook of your life..what would be in it? Mmmh, I think pictures of all the poeple who shaped me and helped me become the person I am today (both in a good and bad way). Pictures of all the mazing places I have had the chance of visiting. Oh and as my scrapbook is special *grin* it would definitely have a soundtrack for each page or part of my life.

What is your favorite memory?
Mmmh... my first Broadway show (42nd street), The Avenue Q Opening in Vegas, & my "West End Debut" ...

What is your favorite broadway show and why?
At the moment: Sweeney Todd, but it tends to change quite often.

What is your favorite holiday and why?
Every trip to NYC and my 2 week adventure travelling to SF,LA and Las Vegas. I flew into SF spend 5 days there then took the bus to LA spend 5 days there then the bus to Las Vegas and spend 4 days there... I went alone and met soooooo many amazing poeple!

Edit: God, I've been in England to long,you actually meant holiday not vacation. Okay, so holiday would be: Christmas. Not in America though. It's just too over the top, sorry. But I love because of all the singing (hey, there's always a reason to randomly burst into song around Christmas time) and the cookies and the decorations. I love to decorate!

Easy choice. Oreo! I hate "fake" fruit, as in Poptards, etc I don't even like raisins.

What brought you to BWW?
After seeing my first show I wanted to find out more about Broadway and it's different shows. I lived in Philly and went to NYC everySaturday (got up at 5am!!!) to go into the city and after chosing to see Good Vibrations, because I had no clue what any of the shows were about I thought it would be quite clever to find out in advance... (you guessed it, I hated it.)

What is your favorite thread?
Of course the Willkommen thread! If you ever feel bored paste some of the stuff into one of the translating sites, it's a good thread. I also loved the Confessions thread, didn't really participate but had a great time reading along.

and... what is your ideal vacation?
Past one I allready answered not understanding the question correctly. But a fictional upcoming one would be flying to NYC (1st class mind you..) with all my friends then getting picked up at the airport by one of those rented limousines (and I know it's cheesy but I've always wanted to!) and getting to stay in an actual hotel while in NY, (always stayed in nasty hostels in Harlem or Queens)and then getting to see every single musical or play I feel like seeing, multiple times if I feel like it...
Yup, that would be amazing!

Hmm, depends which ones. I tend to garee with certain posters on different shows so when they post how much they hated a show, I will pick a different one to see first. Apart from that, not really. And when I have the time and money I will watch everything and make up my own mind.

Okay, I gotta admit I have not given this matter much thought in the past :), but probably a Cherry Tree, because I think they are pretty.

My Visa in the States expired and if I can't have NYC, London is my next pick.

Are you really making your West End debut?
Nah... (at least not yet...lol). I took a class and got the chance to sing on stage at the Theatre Royal Haymarket (a really pretty West End theatre where Dame Judi Dench just performed in Hay Fever). I just loved getting the chance to be up there.
