I'd been lurking here a while and decided I wanted something simple, not like any of my other usernames on other forums, and not show-related. I have no idea what brought "Plum" into my head, but it seemed appropriate. And even if it wasn't, people tend to grow into their usenames, since that's all anyone sees of them. :)

If Hugh Jackman were delivered to your door today, what would you have him do?

The weird thing is...I have no clue what to do when meeting a celebrity. None whatsoever. I've left the stage door before when I realized I had nothing to say and was blocking other people's chances for autographs. I basically gaped at Neil Gaiman at his book signing. So...I guess I really like the celebrity, and have no idea what to make of the person.

Plum...I can agree. It's wierd when the celebrity becomes "a person"...I know that from personal experience it's like worlds colliding and not in a good way. There's something to be said for the aura of mystery.

Emcee...get your mind out of the gutter!

I always thought you picked your name because of Louisa's line in The Fantasticks: "This plum is tooooooooooo RIPE!"

PLum just confirmed for me why she is a good choice by mentioning going to a Neil Gaiman book signing.

Hope you have lots of time today to bask in the glory.

So well deserved.

Brava.

Plum... if you were a tree, what kind of tree would you be and why?

Plum, what is your favorite aspect of posting on BWW? What is it that keeps you coming back?

It's an addiction I tell you!

Plum, like Emcee, is a poster whose maturity and intelligence belies her actual age. I don't always agree with her, but it can't be denied that she always makes her points thoughtfully and clearly.

She sets a good example. She seems unflappable. She's just cool.

Well, I've yet to see her "flap." Perhaps I'll have to try harder to antagonize her. mbcotd - PLUM

Just say something like, "All people in the Middle East are terrorists." - but don't say I didn't warn you mbcotd - PLUM

And yes, someone actually DID say that - oy.

I don't understand what's wrong with that statement to begin with. It's true, isn't it?

Cookie - I AM being positive - her ferociousness is one of my favorite aspects of what she brings. It's usually so focussed and channeled - but every once in a while, she just lets it fly, and i am in AWE!

Truly, I think it's a wonderful thing - not being negative at all mbcotd - PLUM

Ah... I just thought that bringing in the topics that unleashes the Plum ferociousness might cause a momentary immediate reaction... Heck have no fury like a ferocious Plum... mbcotd - PLUM

Well, I'm glad someone enjoys my tantrums. I usually just end up with a headache and the urge to become a permanent misanthrope. :)

A tree, a tree...maybe I would be a birch, because of the mottled bark.

And why do I post? I'm not sure. I was pretty content lurking here for a few months before I started getting the urge to talk back. So I guess it's partly my argumentative nature. Give me something to debate and I'll be there. But what makes me really love it is, well...everyone. Even when I'm not participating, I like to listen to people talking, and you guys are definitely a different and more diverse crowd than I'd normally be exposed to. I can't find a more fun and theater-loving bunch anywhere in my physical life. :)
