From the Daily News: No Pedro, No El Duque. No problem. Playoff newcomers John Maine and Carlos Delgado - and an Amazin' break - lifted the Mets to a 6-5 win over the Dodgers in Game 1 of their division series in front of a delirious crowd of 56,979 at Shea. and, I might add, at least one delirious fan is San Francisco!
Yum! The hottest team on the planet.

Yankees lost today. Let's Go Mets!
I'm glad I went to see them play in DC when they were here in August. I had no idea the Mets were here last weekend, or I would have gone again.

My future husband.
In your dreams Dolly
As far as the mets, the only way they have a shot is if the yankees do not make it to the series. The hitting is Ok.The Mets starting pitching is being held together with bailing wire. Their bench is so so & the bullpen is their best attribute but get Rolaids ready when the $ 11 million dollar man comes in
If they play the Yankess they get killed. Imagine Steve Trachsel or Oliver Perez facing the Yankess. Be afraid be very afraid

Roxy, the next few weeks will find you as disappointed as your wife was on your wedding night!
She had no complaints
Something tells me if you ever got Mr Wright in the sack, he would ask for a pinch hitter to replace you
By the way, was is not spelled ws.
It's effing October 5th. When the hell is baseball season over?
The week after next is the World Series I believe
After that, it is over until Spring Training in February 2007
Game temperature in Detroit tomorrow for Yankee game is 50 degrees

I'm a Red Sox fan, but grew up in a Mets house. So since the Sox couldn't pull it together this year, Let's Go Mets!
And go Detroit!
Mets fans - take it from a Yankee fan - stop your celebrating until your team is travelling down the Canyon of Heroes in a ticker tape parade. Otherwise, if, say your team loses the next three games, you're going to look kind of pathetic.
Take it from me who celebrated in 2004 when NYY lead the Bosox 3 games to 0...

Imagine if the Mets somehow make the series but the Yankess do not
Mount Steinbrenner would explode making Vesuvius look like a sparkler. If the Yanks do lose & A Rod continues to tank, someone who comes in to clean my office says look for the Yanks to try & unload him over the winter. If they lose, anything is possible
