According to a couple different stories, he is in need of a lung transplant, or he will die.
"Quoted in Britain's Daily Express, the writer says Jackson may now be fighting for his life - ill with a rare lung condition, in need of a transplant, but too weak to undergo surgery.
There's no public comment from Jackson's official spokeswoman. The singer's brother has simply said it's not a good time, and that Jackson's not doing so well. "

Doubtless another publicity stunt. Don't believe it until the coffin is being lowered into the ground. And even then...
Maybe the kids will get real parents then.

Daily Express = more reliable than the Sun, less reliable than the Daily Fail. Don't believe it until you see the corpse.
I actually saw some recent footage of him, and I believe he may already be a corpse.
He looks like he's living in a Tim Burton movie.
Still, if it's true, best wishes.

Well I hate to hear about anyone being deathly ill, but I agree with danmag. He does sort of already look like a corpse.

Weez, I had no idea there was an actual tabloid hierarchy. I always grouped them in my mind under the category of "FAIL".
In the UK, there is. You can usually work it out by the number of topless women. Something like the Sun or the Daily Star, which have plenty, is less likely to have a reliable source. Something like the Daily Fail, which is far too willing to get all "BAN THIS SICK FILTH!" on any story, will often have a real news story hidden somewhere under all the right-wing propaganda. XD
I heard he's just despondent because his current financial problems won't allow him to attend the Macy's one day sale tomorrow. He heard that little boys pants were half off.

Isn't the writer just shilling his book?

Aaah. I mostly associate the Sun with the Epic Fail of its coverage of the Hillsborough disaster. And Doctor Who spoilers, these days.
artscallion---LOL! You're horrible.
I actually heard this on the radio last week sometime. It was during the Z100 morning show "Sleaze Report." So, obviously that is not a good source either, but again, they were just spreading the rumor.
If true, a bit ironic that the man who is so afraid of air that wears a mask when outside would have some type of pulmonary issue.
I do, however, hope it's not true.

I didn't even realize Jacko was still alive and kickin' (sort of). Last I heard he was moving to Madagascar or some such country, and I just assumed he was bitten by some radio active lemur who sounded like Sacha Baron Cohen.
WAIT......there's a Macy's one day sale tomorrow?
So Jermaine was either trying to garner sympathy for Mike, or maybe it was wishful thinking? that's terrible.
