Miley's 9-year-old sister launching a lingerie line for kids — Page 2

Honestly, I see both sides of the coin.
Calling it lingerie could be a major selling point though. Like I said before these girls don't want to be seen as kids anymore. Calling it lingerie makes it sound grown up.
But also the term is often linked to undergarments that don't stay on very long. So it's a bit of a conundrum.
I'm not defending the Cyrus family in any way. I think they're hypocrites (see my earlier comment about Miley making comments about other people). I'm just saying I partly understand the reasoning behind the marketing. Not saying that I like it.

Oh, I got that you weren't advocating it. I was serious, though, when I said you made me see it another way.
How about calling calling it Tweengerie?

And for the budding effeminate boy and/or possible future MTF transsexual, there could be Tweengergay!

If I were designing underwear for tweens that would be what some of them would look like.

But a 9 year old IS a kid. Do 9 year olds even need training bras yet?

Actually, some do. As a society we're living longer so puberty is starting earlier. I saw on the news that girls are starting as early as the second grade. My coworker was telling me that her daughter just started and she's 9.

The girls in my son's class starting wanting to date the boys in 4th grade. I'm sure they would have been totally up for some lingerie.

They're more like a bikini top than bras. It's for either modesty or for little girls who want to pretend they're older, as Eris said. I knew girls who were still flat as boards and had every design from Limited Too.
