Million Dollar Baby DVD

Has anyone bought this DVD? Or is anyone going to buy it? If so are you going to get the 3-disc edition? I bought the 3-disc edition of Mystic River last year and really never watched the second disc although I did listen to the music a time or two.

My question is, "Is the only thing on the 3-disc that isn't on the regular 2-disc, just the Soundtrack?" Also, "How is the score from the movie?"

the score was good for the movie... but it was written by clint himself, so it's not the most enlightening music ever... very simple guitar stuff... however, it does work for the movie. the movie's incredible, but i probably would not buy the 3-disc edition.

This film is an epic work of genius. Not only easily the best movie of last year but one of the greatest films of all time, IMO. It was an absolute knockout with three of the greatest film performances Ive ever seen. The 2 Disc set, however, is awful. You think they'd put more special features etc on a DVD for a film that won Best Picture at the Oscars last year but maybe not. The DVD is worth buying, however, simply for the destined-to-be-a-classic movie.

I bought it as well, but I only got the 2 disc version, not the 3 disc with the soundtrack included. While the score for the film is appropriate and small, Clint is hardly an amazing composer and I much prefer his score for MYSTIC RIVER anyway. Definitely get the DVD - the movie is amazing.

Since I'm upstate for the summer, I have the advantage of a Wal-Mart up here - and Wal-Mart always sells DVDs the first week they come out at around $14 - so I always take advantage of that.

I bought the regular 2 disc, and I got it from Super Wal-mart :)

They didn't even have the 3-disc version, but they did a have a set where you could get a book with the DVD. However, it was only offered in the full-screen, and I wanted wide-screen. Plus I knew I'd never read the book. Anyways, thanks for the advice, I can't wait to watch it!
