Obama's father was an African, and his step-father was Indonesian. Obama's mother must have been a real whore!

There isn't even any logic there SNAFU. I'm not even sure what his analogy is.

It is sort of like a kid taking his ball and going home and the other kid says Your mothers fat.

The thing I find really scary is the amount of hatred being spewed by people. I have said this before but there use to be a time where people could have a debate and listen to what the other side has to say. That isn't an option anymore.

And Jim, calling a woman who married more than once ain't a whore. If so then millions of men and women in this country are all whores (some of which somehow became parents of Presidents, this of course includes both Bill Clinton and Gerald Ford in addition to Obama off the top of my head). But I guess because she mothered children with two foreigners is what really rankles you.

What a remarkably hateful thing to say. And we're left to wonder--is the mother of the President of the United States thus indicted because she was married twice--TWICE!! Just think of it!--or because she had the temerity and lack of good, old-fashioned, red-blooded, GO-USA!!!-ism to marry men from other countries?

And Jim Colyer, how far back must one's prospective spouses family be able to trace their lineage in America to be satisfactory to you? If a woman's prospective husband's PARENTS were foreigners, is she still risking your wrath? How about his GRANDPARENTS? At what point do you, almighty arbiter, deem that someone is "American" enough?

Until today, I thought people were a little hard on Jim Colyer--his posts struck me as the harmless ramblings of a slightly learning-disabled 9th-grader. I see now that I was too kind.

He's posted a lot of stupid things before, some of which had little to do with politics (you probably have read references to his songs), long before even I posted but his politics have really come out since Obama got elected.

I think actually labeling him a 'typical Romney supporter' may actually be offensive to Romney supporters. These people who attack the mother of the President long existed before Mitt Romney's candidacy happened. He's just vile.

They don't need to. It's never been hidden information. Mitt Romney has always pointed to his dad as an example of how people can do well for themselves in the US. His dad didn't even have a college degree.

What needs to be spun--or even just explained in a rational way--is how a man who freely acknowledges that his father accepted government welfare money can speak with such disdain of people who consider themselves "victims" and greedily take money from a too-generous government.

I don't condemn Mittens for being the son of a man on Welfare. I condemn him for his hypocrisy, churlishness and selfish greed. He appears to feel that the subsidies that HE gets are OK, it's what everybody else TAKES that is bleeding this country dry.

Seriously--do you not find his thinking either completely illogical or completely offensive?

because his dad wasn't greedy nor considered himself a victim? It's one thing to rely on assistance in a tough time but still striving to succeed but another to make a habit of it by quitting or giving up. Even our most recent Dem governor shortened up the lifetime limits for receiving state-based benefits.
