Sonof, I am with you. Modern Family is ok but I watch it just to get to Cougar Town. I think it is way funnier than Modern Family although they pushed it a bit with Jules last night. She was just a bit to annoying. The murder suicide thing had me on the floor!

Uncageg, it's just the opposite for me. I want to watch "Cougar Town," since "Modern Family" has already hooked me. But I just can't get into it.

I keep trying, but my attention drifts after five minutes.

I'm with you, Reginald. I love MOdern Family - might be my favorite show on tv now. I can't get into Cougar Town at all - it's just not funny to me.

Maybe it's like that Jane Eyre/Wuthering Heights thing. You're on one team or the other; it can't be both.

Stones/Beatles?
Pistols/Ramones?

If this either/or thing applies to Modern Family and Cougar Town (and I think it does...I can't watch the latter), ABC needs to rethink their lineup.

Oh, and: Jane Eyre, MaryAnn, Ramones, Beatles. Do we need a new 'This Or That' thread?

"Ginger/Mary Ann?"

My problem is my answer is always the Professor.

I didn't know the Jane Eyre/Wuthering Heights was a thing either.

Problem is, ABC canceled the perfect match for Modern Family last year -- Better Off Ted.

And I'm definitely Jane Eyre/Ginger/Ramones/Beatles.

Is there some kind of rivalry between Star Trek and Star Wars fans, or are they unified in their nerdery?

More of a rivalry but as a Star Wars nerd, I respect the original cannon of Star Trek. There is Marvel vs. DC for comic book fans.

I like both shows. Cougar Town gets a bad rap and has my beloved Courtney Cox, but I think Modern Family is the better show.

For the record, I have nothing against "Cougar Town"; I just haven't gotten into it yet. But it took me a couple of seasons to get into some of my best beloved sticoms. In fact, it's rare for me to jump into bed with a show the way I have with "Modern Family." (I also love Courtney Cox.)
