But really, not even so much that he said something negative about RENT. It's that it's obvious he's trying to create a point that's thin and kind of silly just to rile people up. If you read what he said, his argument made little sense, IMO.

Everyone, just let his thread die and stop arguing, it's useless. He's got identical threads on the IMDb and CB boards, plus has apparently started a number of similar ones. People on those boards simply end up fighting with each other, like is starting to happen here. Here's what some people wrote on IMDb:

"I looked at some of arthurs past posts, and on the brokeback mountain board he complains about the movie being tagged as a gay cowboy movie. He says it pigeonholes the movie."

JRB, I don't know who Princess mimichica is, but I DO know who Vanessa Redgrave is, and I don't know what any of that has to do with Art2. I don't want him banned because he doesn't like RENT, I'm upset because he made a thin, unsupported argument that demeans something that means a lot to me, and he is nothing but a broken record. That's all. I dIdn't realize people actually agreed with that trolls rantings, but, to each his own. I guess I made this thread for nothing :shrug:::

Suggestion: Just ignore the person and block them from your PM if they are bothering you privately.

There are lots of people on internet boards that don't know when to quit on a topic or that are looking for attention by refusing to give up until you agree with them. I had one such fellow recently send me a PM several times to try to reinforce the point he had already made on the thread, in an effort to change my mind. I pointed out that we were both entitled to our opinions and eventually he went away.

What this poerson is doing is pretty mild on the scale of trollishness. And if RodneyK managed to last here for months, I really don't see why art2 should be banned. Pity the poor soul; (s)he seems to have the world's worst case of tunnel vision and an axe that won't be sharp no matter how much (s)he grinds it.
