'MEEEEEEEEEEOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOW'

Looking at the ConvinceMe2/BrendanStryker posts in this thread, it amazes me that anyone on BWW ever thought he was nything other than a fat, middle-aged queen pretending to be that picture.

His tastes betrayed him.

Wow Joey that's a very stereotypical cliched view. What does a guys looks have to do with his taste in movies?
#54

'MEEEEEEEEEEOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOW'

I wouldn't be too sure about that, PalJoey. All the fat, middle-aged queens I know, LOVE Mommie Dearest.

'MEEEEEEEEEEOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOW'

That's the point, JohnBoy. Brendan was not the guy in his picture. He was a fat, middle-aged queen who liked Julie Andrews and 1940s movies and 1950s hunks. (And I am speaking as a middle-queen myself.)

And DarkAngel, you know eggggs-zackly what and who I mean. There were SEVERAL posters on BWW at that time claiming to be "hotties" who turned out not to be as hot as their avatars.

Some may still be here, mais oui? ;-}

'MEEEEEEEEEEOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOW'

But I think you are missing my point. He claims to hate Mommie Dearest, which I find goes against any old queens that I know. Also, I have 3 sons, all of whom like Julie Andrews, Valley of the Dolls, and Faster Pussycat Kill Kill, among many other "camp" films. None of them, as far as I know, is gay, or middle aged. I'm not claiming that the guy here isn't, just that your logic, isn't proof.

'MEEEEEEEEEEOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOW'

You would even stoop so low as to pimp out your own three sons, just to prove me wrong?

Have you no shame, man? ;-}

Many, many pre-Stonewall-era queens hated Mommie Dearest, due to their entrenched love for Joan Crawford and their feeling that Christina was unfairly getting revenge. The gay audience for the movie was mostly from the post-Stonewall generation, who had no particular identification with Joan Crawford or any of the other old-school Hollywood movie queens.

Brendan was intimately aware of all of them, plus the 1950s hunks and 1960s camp movies, which obviated against the story of his life as he presented it.

'MEEEEEEEEEEOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOW'

The point is that "young queens" are not into the things that Brendan was into, which were typical of the 55+ generation.

'MEEEEEEEEEEOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOW'

Two other favorites...

Dead Ringer (with Bette Davis as good/bad twins)

Sextette (witnessing a geriatric Mae West and a young Timothy "James Bond" Dalton SING "Love Will Keep Us Together" is worth it alone---but the rest is just as good/bad!)
"Jaws is the Citizen Kane of movies."

Joey I don't know exactly what and who you mean and I'm getting sick and tired of your accusations.
