Gene Tierney, thanks for remembering her.
And I really think no female star exuded s-e-x than the young Lana Turner.

yes, dp, but theirs is that beauty on the inside kind that can only be seen when tony robbins puts a spell on you.
Liz Taylor is the answer.
Classic: Liz Taylor, Audrey Hepburn

I use to have a crush on Jennifer O'Neill growing up. I might have turned straight if given a chance with her.
Liz Taylor was also my number one pick. I don't think I've seen a woman as beautiful as she was in her younger days. Not only did she have physical beauty but was elegant, poised and sophisticated (at least in public). That's something I think many contemporary actresses are missing, the poise and elegance that adds to the physical beauty, the sophisticated aire that makes them seem larger than life. Liz, Audrey Hepburn, Grace Kelly and many other actresses from the past had that quality
If we give points for longevity...
i.e. Beautiful for the longest time, then I have to change m vote.
Change it to whom?
that's what I'm trying to think of.
There are several beautiful ladies that didn't get the chance to age much (Natalie Wood, for example). So, sadly, they can't count.
Do we discount them for plastic surgery..?
I think Sophia Loren is still amazing !!!
I wouldn't considre the over done Cher/Farrah/Joan Rivers type of plastic surgery. There are a few women who,now in their 60's and 70's are still stunning. They must have had some surgery but it's done in a way that they maintain their natural beauty because they are not trying to look 20. A few that come to mind are Raquel Welch, Sophia Loren and Julie Newmar. All over 60...two I believe are over 70....and all beautiful.
Jackie Kennedy Onassis was also a beautiful woman into her 60's. Again, it was the poise and grace that added to her beauty.
If you're thinking of women who died before they aged, there are so many to choose from.
I'd like to add another name to the ever growing list:
MAUREEN O'HARA. To me, she is just the most beautiful woman ever to grace the silver screen, with that red hair and those warm hazel eyes. And- she's still gorgeous now, in her 80's.
Other women I'm constantly amazed by how beautiful they are:
Charlotte Rampling
Julie Christie
Isabella Rossellini
In the Broadway arena, bernadette gets huge points with for looking as yound as she does for her age. Now for the silver screen I would definately Sally Field looks good for her age. She is in her late 50's. I know that isn't old comparatively. I dunno maybe she's not beautiful to a lot of people, but I see it. Maybe its her aura and the respect I have for her acting ability, or maybe I am nuts. (I looked up her latest publicity shots so maybe she doesn't look as good day to day.)
Yeah, BL...Maureen was/is really beautiful, especially in Techicolor.
Hedy Lamar, Gina Lollabrigida, Charize Theron, Vivien Leigh, Zeta Jones
too many to single out one.
Lauren Bacall, Liz Taylor, Sofia Loren
