My MOST Favorite Subject in High School was English--I got to talk a lot and air my never-ending opinions on ANYTHING we read... gee, do you see any kind of connection here?
My LEAST Favorite Subject was Physics--I could never figure out what Gravational Fields and Newton's Law had to do with SOUTH PACIFIC or ANNIE GET YOUR GUN.
I got a D--and my parents took away ALL my LPs for a month (for those not in the know, they were like CDs but a lot bigger and MUCH easier to scratch).

Probably biology sophmore year- best teacher ever. I mean, the guy would perform in drag in school assemblies. How could you not like him?
4 more posts until I become a legend!
My favorite was literature, i read so many great books
worst was biology
hated it
I'm a sophmore at the moment... and I hate Chemistry with a deep and firey passion... I'm not that bad at it, but WHATS THE POINT?
I also hate stupid classes like health and business computer technology that you have to take in order to graduate (or at least at my school). Especially when I already know the material and could be in a photo journalism class instead...
MIDDLE SCHOOL!
least:MATH(suprisingly not ELA)
most favrit-SOSHAL STUDIES
I'm taking Algebra 1, which is okay....just really pointless!

The point of classes like chemistry isn't necessarily to teach you chemistry- it's to teach you how to think in a certain way.
I loathed chemistry with all my being in high school, and physics and math weren't much better. I had to take 3 years of each hard science and 4 years of math, and as humanities girl, that wasn't fun. But I learned how to think logically and sequentially and organize my thoughts in certain ways that have been helpful in every class I've taken since. In ten years, I won't remember which elements form a covalent rather than polar bond with hydrogen, but I'll remember how to solve problems logically. And I'm pretty thankful to my high school for forcing all those math and science classes on me, because I certainly wouldn't have taken them on my own.

Yes, Plum, but what does all that have to do with "I Could Have Danced All Night" and "The Impossible Dream"?
Most - biology
Least - Latin
Fave: English/Literature... I loved Mrs Scarborough!
Least Fave: Physical science (Mrs MCReynolds looked like a transvestite Vulcan) or any math class...although I had great math teachers!

t might seem pointless... but sorry hun that stuff comes back to haunt you for many years to come...
I like math a lot, with English as a close second place. The thig I like about math in general is that there is a set way to find out the answers, so once you know the formulas equations etc... its a piece of cake, whereas with English you have to form opinions a do a lot of writing and sometimes there isn't a right or wrong answer. I like to read and have many poems, stories, books forced upon me. I probably wouldn't have ever heard of some authors/poets if not for my english classes.
However above all that, choir and drama definately just absolutely make my day
In College, my..
FAVORITE: Theatre and English (hence, my major and minor)
WORST: Science (Damm this subject to H-E-Double Hockey sticks)

What math are you taking, OneBlazeofGlory? A reason I started to loathe math a little less by the time I was a senior is that it started offering room for creativity. In the most advanced math (not that I know much about that), you're pretty much making up your solutions from scratch, using all those formulas and rules you learned in new and weird combinations. It makes things a lot more interesting.
Favorite: English, History and Theatre
Hated: Math and Science (I only took biology - the "easy" course - and bombed it)
Oops. Ignore me! (I'm weak...I'm weak...in 23 hours and 50 minutes, this paper is due...)
Yes, Plum, but what does all that have to do with Anna Maria Alberghetti and Robert Preston?

Like the most awefullest subject I have to take is English. The teacher is a real dork and he's making us read stuff like MACBETH and things. I mean, do I REALLY have to sit there and try to figure out what that Macbeth dude is saying about floating daggers and dead bodies? Like I have about a million other things I could be doing with my time.
I say to all English teachers, get a life!

I'm in Algebra II right now, pre-calc next year then I'm not required to take another math class but I may... depends. Algebra II is okay, I'm making good grades in it, but I like geometry better. To me, Geometry seems to have more of a use in everyday life, but Algebra seems to be the most reoccuring in math classes/skills...

Dollypop-
I've actually been living Macbeth for the past couple of weeks because it's been the focus of both my Shakspeare and set design classes. So. Much. Blood. That's all I have to say right now.
OneBlazeofGlory- Once you get to calculus and beyond, or if you start doing Math Olympiad-type things, you'll see the creative side of math. It's immensely difficult compared with the old plug-and-chug model, but more to my taste overall. :)

Favorite: AP English my senior year. Funfunfun- and we actually read good books and plays and had interesting discussions (such as Tolkien's nod to Shakespeare's Macbeth)
Least Favorite: Algebra. *hisses* I passed all three courses, but I was confused the entire time. Not to mention, only ONE of my teachers ever really made an effort to sit down and help me...she even helped me study for my college math intro exam (which I passed with flying colors). Take that back then. Algebra I/II were living hells, Algebra III was great.
Favorites: Current Events, AP US History, H Vocal Ensemble
Least favorite: probably chemistry, AP Bio was the bane of my existence junior year, but everyone in the class were friends so we made it tolerable.

DollyPop............You didn't like English? Thank goodness you never became an English teacher. English was always my favorite subject. My father was a Social Studies teacher so I was expected to to do well in it. Actually, I enjoyed American History. Biology was great especially when we did dissections. However, I SIMPLY DO NOT UNDERSTAND MATH! Whjy I had to take it I will never know.
I'll have to say gym was my least and favorite class because I hated the whole having to play sports part cuz' I can't throw or catch, but the shower part made up for it...

Ack! I hated gym class. Oops, sorry. "Physical education." Ugh. Even when I ceased to be a midget and became merely short, I always had all the hand-eye coordination of a spastic walrus, and the speed of one, too. God, that class was humiliating.
