That was so totally staged. Obviuously, the kid has tons of talent and potential, but the way Simon stopped him and had him do his 'other' song made it come across as corny.

Absolutely agree with that MB!!! I said that very same thing on another site, just a minute ago. It makes you wonder if ANY reality show is "real", or are they all rehearsed performances.

Well, it does seem to be an indication of just how easily led the general public can be. Although, we really didn't need any more evidence of that, either.

The sad part to me is how they allow their response to be manipulated.

I am starting to hate this show. Everything seems staged or plotted.. Like I posted in another thread, Susan Boyle told a reporter of Fox News that "Britain's Got Talent" found her. In otherwords she was approached probably by some talent scout.

Yes, this new video was so staged. They had the new music just ready to go and it's obvious by the kids reaction that he was told ahead of time that Simon would stop the show.

That kid is so cute!

But it seems like Britain's Got Talent (and America's Got Talent) is very staged. It's poorly edited. (People start cheering as soon as people start singing?)

Regarding Susan Boyle, so much about it was staged. From the judge's reaction to the the audience response. The only thing that wasn't staged was Susan Boyle's emotion and feelings throughout the whole proceedings. Even if what surrounded her was artifice, she was real. This really was her dream and she really was fulfilling it. And you can tell that she is overwhelmed and overjoyed. And that's what people responded to. This genuine woman feeling something real (and something wonderful). That what makes it reality. Even if everything surrounding is completely un-reality.

Here's something interesting on this Shaheen kid.

He played a young Michael Jackson in the musical Thriller Live.

Now it's all to clear this was staged.

I know he's a kid, and he was good, but I don't think it's fair to the other contestents that Simon told the kid to switch to a different song because he didn't like the first one.
