I'd like to be friends with the Jude Law/Gwyneth Paltrow characters in "Talented Mr. Ripley."

Millie... the Hermione hatred was just from the beginning. The fact that she's tryin' to move in on my man... ((wow I need psychiatric help)) and she's just such a goody goody I guess you could say. She just pisses me off, along with her movie counterpart.

I'm with Cheno... That's the good life.
But, I'd probably say Karen from Will and Grace.

well, Munkustrap, I have several HIV+/drug user friends, and i find them to be just as gifted and flawed as anyone else--i think the implication that "regular" people wouldn't want to know people like the characters in "Rent" is ignorant and phobic at best...
That said, I'd love to know the people of:
All About Eve
The Golden Girls
It's A wonderful Life
The Simpsons

Definitely Fight Club. To sit down to talk to Tyler Durden would be amazing. And Marla is so screwed up...just like me and all my friends.

GirlsTown - those three girls would have been my best friends!
When I was a young child, i wanted to be Oliver's boyfriend, and walk hand in hand with him.

"Do you know what pledge time is, Andrew"? said the PBS Executive.
"Yes", Lloyd Webber replied. "My 50th birthday special must be one program that gets done a lot."
"No", mused the man from PBS heedlessy. "Not so much. Our Stephen Sondheim Carnegie Hall concert. That's a big one."
Spoons, forks and knives seemed suddenly to suspend their motion in horror, all around the table.

I'm very very very sad that you don't share our gift of time travel, Greek. Oh well. Every club's gotta exclude a few people.

I have to agree with Greek.
The movie hasn't opened yet, so how would you know if you would know these characters? Sometimes the film portrays the characters differently...look at Liza in Cabaret...I would rather know Jennifer Jason Leigh's Sally than Liza's...
Those that listed Rent, might as well list the Producers and Dreamgirls, too...

Anything with Clive Owen, though he has played some unsavory characters.
I'd love to hang out with Velma and Roxie. The whole atmosphere of the roaring twenties excites me.
Aigoo: I'd love to meet Batman. And Catwoman. I want to be her protege. I've wanted to be Catwoman since I was in first grade.
