Evita
The Phantom of the Opera
The Lord of The Rings Trilogy
Speed 2, make that almost anything with a "2" at the end, except the Godfather II.
Never cared for anything with Julie Andrews but Addy made me see the merits of "Mary Poppins" and "The Sound of Music" but "Star" and "Thoroughly Modern Millie" were torture to sit through, i couldn't get through them.

"And I may be really alone here...but I hated American Beauty"
No you're not, wickedrentq! I hated "American Beauty" and, believe me, I tried to like it. But it just wasn't gonna happen.
And I must add myself to the list of LOTR fans on this board.
Other movies I do not like:
The Good Son
Radio Flyer
Dumbo (who wasn't emotionally scarred by "Baby Mine" and the Pink Elephants as a kid?)

Posted: 3/26/05 at 2:30amI HATE the wizard of oz. with a DEEP passion. This is probably why the entire concept of wicked turns me off and every time I hear a song from it I want to vomit. I hate the wizard of oz.

Posted: 3/26/05 at 8:21amAnything with excessive violence which is NOT billed as "Horror" (meaning - if it's the supernatural, exorcist - things like that -I can handle the blood and gore because I know it's fake...) but I can't watch things like The Godfather and stuff like that - or anything having to do with abuse - rape, incest - any of those things always make me a bit sick to my stomach. And why would anyone pay to see something like that anyway? The world is hard enough to live in without bringing that kind of thing to the forefront. I may sound like PollyAnna here - but give me a light hearted, sweet romance or romp any day - I don't want to pay to become even more depressed.

I'll join the pollyanna movement. I hate any war movie for that reason. Death and dewstruction on the sceen leave me depressed and I can get that for free in real life. I also hate "weeper" movie like Terms of Endearment where you grow to care about a character and then they die. I always feel like I've lost someone real.
Yeah, I know, grow up and get over it.........
