I have to say...
Napoleon Dynamite
New York Minute
A Cinderella Story, Raise Your Voice (Sorry, not a Hilary Duff Fan)
The Aviator (I love Leo but I just couldn't get into the movie)
I know there's more but I have to think of it.

Posted: 3/24/05 at 11:05pmLol. A lot of my friends did, apparently. I just sat there in the theater and I wanted to shoot myself.

Dolly, how about taking out a few of those "!!!!!!!!" so we don't have to scroll as much. :)
As for movies I hate, a few of them would be -
HOW TO MAKE AN AMERICAN QUILT
THE GOOD SON
ANY GIVEN SUNDAY
THE PASSION OF THE CHRIST
OLD SCHOOL
RED DAWN (Scares the sh*t out of me)

Worst movie EVER: The Great Gatsby
We watched it in English class last week. It took four days and I nearly killed myself. Soooo bad.

"Great Gatsby" w/ Farrow and Redford?
I watched that in English last year and, despite the talent involved, it was pretty painful.
Other popular movies that I, for one reason or another, didn't care for...
Finding Neverland
Chariots of Fire
Moonstruck
The French Connection
Gladiator (though Joaquin Phoenix was mesmerizing)
A Beautiful Mind
Blue Velvet
Catch Me If You Can
The Door in the Floor
Gangs of New York
Braveheart
Seabiscuit
Gigi
The Deer Hunter
Mystic River

Some that come to mind:
MOULIN ROUGE - nauseating piece of garbage, where the ugly garishness of the whole ordeal is only bested by the lack of musical talent. Easily the worst film ever made
THE ENGLISH PATIENT (just plain old ass-numbingly boring)
THE SILENCE OF THE LAMBS (really dumb and derivative film that was done better in the earlier MANHUNTER)
MY FAIR LADY (painfully dull, lifeless adaptation of the greatest musical play)
E.T. (filled with forced and phoney sentiment, and really mediocre special effects)
SAVING PRIVATE RYAN (cliche-ridden WWII film that playes like an overlong episode of COMBAT, only not as good, with a pointless (endless) beginning that has nothing to do with the remaining narrative)
JURASSIC PARK (characterless effects film with nobody to root for or distinguish from one another. Except for age and size, the adults could have been the kids and vice versa.)
STAR WARS - zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

broadway86~ Yeah, that's the one. *grimace* It was HORRIBLE. I ABHORRED Mia Farrow as Daisy, no one looked like they were supposed to, it was really cheesy and soap opera-y, it did a horrific job (in my opinion) of setting the time period (it just looked like they plopped people in '20s garb into today), it was just all around badbadbad. Seriously painful to watch. The part where they show Daisy and Gatsby having a picnic on the grass through a clump of leaves~ god was that cheesy and stupid. This movie made me VERY angry.
*end of rant* ;-P

Elphie-
It's funny. I adore Mia Farrow (like in "Alice", "Rosemary's Baby", etc.), but she was truly horrible in this movie. I was watching it, and I was like: "What's wrong with her? Better yet, what's wrong with the director?"
The only one who did an okay job was Karen Black, and even she wasn't up to her usual game.

Oh, I remember one. I hated the English Patient. I almost died of boredom watching that movie. My mom made me watch it with her and I fell asleep.
And Alexander! Ahhh!! Another snooze fest. Plus all the bad acting and what not. (Sorry Collin Ferrall and Rosario Dawson. I love you, but seriously, that movie stunk)

Wait, MAGNOLIA? That is one of the most beautiful movies I have seen in the last 30 years. I cry every time I watch it.
For me, two words:
NAPOLEON DYNAMITE
aka Worst Movie Ever
#23re: Movies you don't like
Posted: 3/25/05 at 8:12amI know, everyone seems to like Magnolia. I saw it when it had one of those preview things and at least 50% of the audience got up and left before the end though. We packed up and left with only 10 minutes left, having already given up 3 hours of our life. haha

Posted: 3/25/05 at 9:22amI've said it once, I'll say it a million times more: "Lord of the Rings" is proof that Hollywood takes unreadable books and turns them into unwatchable movies.
