Hi All!

I'm back with another show. If you're a musical theatre fan, you'll really appreciate this show. Everybody will enjoy it, but those who have a knowledge of musical theatre (like you on this board) will really understand the jokes and references in Musical of Musicals: The Musical. It's HYSTERICAL and very fun to watch. I've been working on the costumes and props for a while now and I have to say...they look pretty damn good. :) (Side note: The costumes in the videos are not the same as what's in the show... :))

So come see the show! We open tonight and run through January 25.

Check out the marketing pages for the posters and video PSA's and then come to the show in Arlington tonight!

Here to buy tickets: http://www.dominionstage.org/

Here to see the videos: http://www.romorassociates.com/dominion/musicals/

THANKS!!!

I saw this show a few years ago and loved it. It really caters to the geeks that really know the shows and the writers without being so blunt.

I once heard someone describe her (Ruthie Henshall) singing as sounding as though she's trying to swallow a whole meatball slightly larger than her windpipe. (The same person compared Michael Ball's singing to sounding as though he's sitting on a washing machine on spin cycle and Colm Wilkinson's to a man with a paralyzed lip trying to eat cottage cheese.) --- Schmerg_The_Impaler

Indeed!! It's definitely for the theatre geeks and you'll pick up a new little joke or aside each time you see it. But it's still very entertaining for those who don't know musical theatre all that well, too. I'm just blown away by how smart and clever the writers of the show were with the music and the references. One of the writers sent us an email saying that the commercials look great and wishing us luck for the run. He may do that with all of them, but we still thought it was really cool.

We've had great crowds so far and it's going very well. I'll have a link to professional pictures soon. The site isn't up yet, but the pictures are AWESOME!

The show on Sunday is at 2pm...we still have tickets available, so if you guys are in the area, definitely come see it! :)

Hi All,

I'm back. Sorry if I'm being annoying. But I'd love for you to check out our review and the professional pics for the show. I'm quite exicted about the review, because I got a shout out for my costumes! (I did costumes and props design for this show...it was my first!)

The professional pics are here:

https://gallery.theatre-image.com/index.php?module=media&pId=100&category=gallery/Musicals&start

And the review is here:

https://www.sungazette.net/articles/2009/01/16/arts_and_entertainment/arts199.txt

The pics were taken during rehearsals (obviously) so some things have changed, been added, etc... I made all the headdresses and painted the canvas that you'll see with the still life. I made pretty much everything prop-wise. The costumes were mostly borrowed, with a few exceptions. Some of them might not make any sense if you're just looking at the pics (like why is the guy wearing a carnival barker vest and a cowboy hat) but, of course, there's a reason for everything so just ask if you'd like to know.

Anyway, you can probably tell I'm quite excited about this and proud of our production. So if you're in the area I'd love for you to come out and see it (plus I totally blew my budget...so I kinda NEED you to come out and see it...bring in some revenue! Haha! re: Musical of Musicals: The Musical- Washington, DC (pictures) )

I'm bringing this one back up just to say it's the final weekend and I'd LOVE it if some BWWers would come out and see the show! :) I'll be in the audience and it would be pleasure to meet any of you!

Plus...you guys will get the jokes and understand the references better than anybody!

We've had great reviews and I'm looking forward to the Washington Post's review...should be out any minute now (I'm waiting anxiously. We thought it would be out yesterday, but alas nothing. We know he was there last week, though...so tick tock...just waiting.)

Anyway, it'd be awesome if you can make it! Here's some info www.dominionstage.org

Thanks!

We saw the show this past Saturday night (we know one of the cast members adn a number of us showed up to see it at the same time.) It is excellent! Only one more weekend to catch it!

I was right in front and I laughed so hard it hurt. (Got all the jokes too.)

This is one of the funniest things I hve ever seen on stage.

To quote Yogi Berra, "don't miss it if you can."

I just wanted to say thanks to anybody who did come out see the show. It was tremendously successful. We had the biggest house in the history of the theatre company last night for the closing. I'm totally in love with this show, it's become my favorite that I've ever worked on (including the ones I was actually on stage for). If you haven't seen it, I highly suggest seeking it out if it's ever in your area. :)
