My Husband's Not Gay - New TLC show

Did anyone watch this yet?

I'm halfway through it, and it is pretty hilarious how these Mormon women are married to these gay guys who refuse to give in to their SSA (same sex attractions). The one women clearly states that her husband has "SSA, not gay."

I'm not sure why GLAAD condemns stuff like this, as no one can watch this and think this is going to work out long-term, heh...

It did seem a bit wrong to take people convinced by religion that they are wrong and just let them run with it for an hour.

I'm starting to think TLC has writers sitting in a room coming up with clickbaity titles, and then they figure out how to find people they can shoehorn into those premises somehow.

I did find the guys more tragic, but their wives... I mean, what is the upside of marrying someone who is mainly into guys, but he'll force himself against nature to be exclusively heterosexual to you?!

I think this is a perfectly fine subject to explore. And...let's be honest...even though this makes me sad, I respect their right to make their lives into whatever they want. And I respect that it's being done honestly with their wives, as opposed to just having men on the side (though it sounds like in every case save the 34-year-old bearish guy it came out after the fact).

I respect that he had the nerve to tell the woman he was set up with about his attraction to men right off. For some reason, I'm invested enough in this guy to want him to break free from the mental anguish and accept love from a man as opposed to working so hard to try to be with a woman.

Again...it just made me sad. I feel like I need to fly to Salt Lake to have a meeting with these bitches.

Aside from agreeing with many of the other issues mentioned by posters, my biggest problem actually was with the one single guy that they are trying to set up with women. I found his personality completely obnoxious and off-putting. Nothing worse than an unfunny guy who thinks he is the life of the party.
