Earlier, I was quoting Namo, and made the comparison to Bill Clinton.

In his total absence of moral values, Clinton turned our world upside down. We can say that we intended nothing regardless of what our actions may be.

I have to ask a serious question:

HDT wrote a PM to me a few weeks ago (some of you said you got something similar/same)

"A friend and I are tying to decide whether or not to come to the city to see Patti Lupone in Gypsy. I would like some advice from you on two points.

1. What have you heard about the production? Do you think it will be great?

2. If we buy seats through a site www.newyorkcitytheatre.com, is it safe?

I hope that you do not feel that my questions are foolish, but if you do, please still try to answer them for me.

I know you are not fond of me, but I would trust your answers on these questions, and I would sincerely appreciate your assistance.

This begs the question, was it you writing, HDT, or was Chanticleer asking (since he is the one that actually travelled to NYC)

And if it was Chanticleer148 posting, would that mean that when you said the Chanticleer hasn't been able to post in months was a falsehood? Regardless of whether or not it was under Chanticleer148, he IS/WAS able to post. Right?

So which is it. Was that him posting. Was it you posting. Were you doing his grunt work?

This isn't an attack. I am genuinely curious.

There is no consistencey with the HD "character" and the multiple users behind the character (if we buy that they exist) must be one of the main reasons why.

Since neither of you responded to the IM, the real question seems to be why you would rather make it all public. It seems like a person with integrity would have answered me in person. If I had wanted the whole board to know, I would have put out a message to the whole board. Joey tried to embarrass me with the PM by posting it within minutes.

Anyway, I'll still answer your questions.

Chanticleer has not been able to post any comment for months. He did not send the PM, I did. I wanted to go, but it did work out for me. He went with another friend. He already had his tickets. He bought them in early June while in the city.

Clinton made a mistake. A big mistake. But his decision to cheat on his wife and take advantage (which personally, given her history I don't buy into) of an intern didn't cost thousands of lives.

And if you think Clinton is the only president to have questionable morals, you have more research to do, HDT.

I can overlook his moral lapse (I would never state that he has none like you) - as can most Americans based on his approval ratings.

I cannot overlook Bush's presidency and what it has done to this country and the world. Sorry. That is might right, my choice and there's really nothing you can say that's going to change my mind.

I'm not saying Bush hasn't done ANYTHING good. That would be throwing the baby out with the bathwater. I'm just saying that the good hasn't outweighed the bad.

No disrespect, but I find a trip between someone of your age with a much older former teacher, half-way across the country a bit creepy.

Seriously no disrespect and I am sure it's all on the "up and up" (especially if you all live together at the B&B) - but personally.. I find it creepy.

Clinton made lots of mistakes. There is a lot of evidence to suggest that he has not been honest with the American people on many occasions.

If you look at the record carefully, you will see that a lot of the good in the Clinton years came after the Republicans took the majority in congress.

Clinton did some good too. His second term was rough.

Bush?

There are many people responsible for the lives lost in the War on Terror. Hillary Clinton is one of them. So is John Edwards.

As I said, he went with someone else. I was NOT able to go, and I would have loved it.

Oh for godssakes. You really should stick to one person using your account, or one of your multiple personalities until you manage to integrate them into one whole person.

Don't bother looking them up, I'll reprint them for you right here. You might find them interesting, since apparently you had nothing to do with them. You might also understand why your promises of swearing off personal attacks rings terribly hollow. The very morning after our exchange, reprinted below, I opened a thread on the main board to find you attacking me, as if none of these exchanges happened.

At the time I thought that you were one seriously messed up individual. Now you have to LOOK?

When "you" first PMed me, I remember thinking "Why the hell shouldn't I just dump this jerk's PM in the trash?" But I opened it and thought, "Oh hell, what matters more is how people are in private than they are in public." So the exchanges reprinted below happened.

The next day when I saw "you" attacking me, I thought, "No, with THIS individual, what matters is what he does in public." Sucking up to me in private. Bowing and scraping before me as you thanked me for my kindness.

So, you'll understand why I don't believe any of your promises, or proposed barganing agreements. "You" are a fraud and a phony and nothing "you" promise can happen anyway, since "you" aren't on top of what "you" write and PM anyway.

It's sacrilege to say but I just don't like the show well enough to go. I never grasped why so many think it's "perfect" but people like what they like, I guess.

Gypsy is a great show. I am not surprised that we disagree, but it is not a sacrilege for you to say that you do not like it. It's more like heresy. (I am making a joke)

I understand it's a great show, I even get "why" it's a great show, but I just don't connect to it. At this point the thought of sitting through another production of it just feels like work.

I'll probably kick myself for missing it someday, but that wouldn't be the first time either.

It went on for one more round. Readers can see that I tried to cut it short off the bat but "HD" kept responding. And I thought, "Hell, I've fought with folks on here like cats and dogs and many of them and I no longer fight. So anything's possible." Obviously, the day after all this that I came online to BWW to find "HD" going on the attack with both barrels proved to be the last day I will EVER do such a thing again.

Whichever "one" of "you" blew it, blew it. So, NO. No promises at all to stop calling you the faker and the phoney that you are.
