That weasel Diaz and his cronies threw a big enough tantrum that they got their way.

I defy anyone to be surprised at this.
Next up -- Obama puts off the repeal of DOMA and DADT.

Hasn't he already done that as far as DADT?
He certainly has begun to backpedal on it. He recently said something to the effect of, "I'll listen to advice and opinions from the generals on the ground to evaluate the effectiveness of the policy."

Obama is going to do what Clinton should have done--gotten a consensus around the idea before attempting to do it. It backfired on Clinton massively.
But let's give Obama a chance. He has a crapload of more pressing issues to deal with first. What good will having marriage rights be if our nation is in the ****ter?

And now Pedro Espada Jr. gets the majority leader title? That corrupt, homophobic jackass?
And Roxy, how exactly is this ironic?
eta: Espada, by the way, decided that AIDS treatment was of so little value that he thought the money would be better spent going toward his own campaign.

Malcolm Smith is telling the gang of three to shove it now. Good for him.
And Rev. Diaz is now threatening to retaliate against the gays. Watcha going to do, you jackass? Speak in tongues to us?
