NYC: Looking for apartment and/or roommates, preferably in Astoria

Craigslist is a bit overwhelming and intimidating, not to mention the horror stories I've heard, so I hope my friends at BWW can be of some assistance.

I'm searching for roommates and/or an apartment in NYC, preferably in Astoria. Looking to move-in on August 1, however it can be sooner/later pending on what I find.

If you know of anyone, please shoot me a PM and I can provide my e-mail and further details.

Thanks!
"The Spectacle has, indeed, an emotional attraction of its own, but, of all the parts, it is the least artistic, and connected least with the art of poetry. For the power of Tragedy, we may be sure, is felt even apart from representation and actors. Besides, the production of spectacular effects depends more on the art of the stage machinist than on that of the poet."

I grew up in Astoria, but moved away thirty years ago. There are a couple of facebook groups devoted to the neighborhood, frequented by both former and current residents. Not sure, but maybe you could join the groups and reach out there?
