Plum, we spent about 15 minutes at dinner discussing this.
In Chicago there are a few Indian restaurants on Belmont and there are dozens on Devon. We used to get great Nan from both areas.
I love cheese Nan.

Then ignore my bit of Saffron and carry on.
Although I think nan is a limited topic, whereas mine is endless.

Posted: 2/5/06 at 8:46amEast 6th Street between 1st and 2nd Avenues is known as Indian Restaurant Row. One could go up and down the street tasting different Nans in different restaurants until one turned into a Nan balloon.

Posted: 2/5/06 at 8:55amThere's a great little hole-in-the-wall Indian restaurant in my hometown that has the best sweet nan I've ever tasted. Every time I go back to the area to visit family, I always make sure to stop in.

Garlic naan is the best. The local Indian restaurant that I go to makes it with a ton of garlic, and I love it.
