Children bounce, and that slide's not so high off the ground. I'd be more worried about an adult hurting themselves than a child. I bet Edward just screamed a bit then, after three minutes of cuddles, was off injuring himself in a startling array of other mishaps that could easily have been avoided if he just listened to his dad.
