bb, it's not like this is a sophisticated operation.
as far as the tapes, he could be in somone's basement in piscataway with a sony handi-cam. it's impossible to track every single person who comes and goes to al jazeera. chances are that it's just someone they hire to take a package from one place to another with no idea what's inside. a one time thing. you don't let the person have any idea who you are or what it's about, you just pay them well and have them drop it off. if they screw it up, you kill 'em. no way to trace 'em because they pick someone at random and choose a different spot every time and a different type.
as far as where he is, it's very very doubtful that the guy's in a cave somewhere. most likely he's in plain view somewhere. i mean the french managed to hide lotsa jews from the nazis and the price for hiding them was a lot higher than what we're making people pay. not that i'm saying we start randomly killing folks. most likely he's in pakistan somewhere where he and the people hiding him don't have to worry about airstrikes. they'd just have to manage to keep people from talking for however long he's there. and would you talk if these people told you not to? with family in the region? fuhgeddaboudit. it'd be one thing if he were in a place where we can infiltrate people to look and listen, but a lot of these places are like a coupla families who've lived there since the dinosaurs died out so even other pakistanis stand out.
