thanks YouWantitWhen- I knew they were going to debut at number 1, but I have been waiting for the official story with the actual sales numbers and stuff. NUmber 1, almost 526,000 in sales, with the whole country music radio stations still 'boycotting' them? That's pretty awesome.

I like this quote: the Dixie Chicks have become the first female group in chart history to have three albums debut at #1, breaking the record the Chicks established in 2002 when the group's last studio album, Home, debuted at #1 and made them the first female group ever to have two albums debut at #1.
that's a lot of words just to say the DC just broke their old record. :)

I only bought this cd to support them and free speech, but I love the album. one great song after the next.
