Aw, sisters are mean. I've got 4 of them.

ANYWAY, I still love this commercial, and I wish I had the right body type for those pants. Unfortunately, I'm in that 99th percentile.

i'm just gonna go ahead and bump this because i'm getting really tired of the ad. audrey does not need to be "remixed," ever. Especially not for a place like the Gap, which knows crass better than it knows crass. no one is going to look like audrey or suddenly be able to do kickin interpretive dances just by wearing the pants. she was a unique voice, an original, she had an auroa... and now her freedom-of-expression dance from funny face is being used to sell trousers from a dime a dozen chain shop... blah to consumerism. btw, i wanna back up what someone said earlier, in that she did *not* have an eating disorder. she was malnutrioned growing up during the war, but it's not that she didn't eat much later in life, it's that she couldn't keep the weight on. she says she hated being a waif. she (allegedly) ate an entire box of chocolates on her way to america from france (coming in to the states for "gigi," coming from france where she met colette). apparently she like, really wanted to gain weight. esp since she had so many miscarriges, of which i believe there were about three. between this and the warhol bags...

I have to say, I agree with feinstein on the commercial issue. Plus, the GAP is notorious for its alleged use of sweatshops and child labor. Maybe I'm overreacting, but using Audrey Hepburn's image seems a bit of a cruel irony.

I really don't like GAP. I think it's pretty much general, solid clothing. Which, technically, it is.

But this commercial REALLY made me want to go to GAP and buy some stiff black skinny pants that'll ride up my crotch.

Audrey=fabulous. I love this commercial!
