The new season of "Next Food Network Star" began Sunday. With one episode, I am embarrassed to live in Dallas. (If you are watching you know why.)

Why, Billy? Don't you believe in the 3C's??

I'm imagining your bob and giant pearl necklace, DB.

I would've dubbed her Wilma Flintstone if I was in the house.

I'm watching it, but I hate all those people. They need a new casting director. This show has a lot of potential but these people are duds. Not one of them is bringing anything new to the table. I kinda wonder if Food Network even cares. They've recruited quite a few new hosts without that vehicle. It seems like filler.

Wow...quite an assessment after only one episode! I think I'll give these people a chance. The actor seems like he'll do well.

I think Corey was funny on Last Comic Standing, but she was SO terrible in both challenges! I was amazed at how awful she came across.

I'll skip this season, especially since I don't particularly care for the powers that be from the Food Network that appear on this program. Plus, what's the purpose of this program, as the winner they selected last season had all of but 3 episodes air of her program (The Gourmet Next Door).

My favorite part was when Sandra Lee said she liked that blond girl and Giatta (Everyday Italian) was like "I disagree." I think Sandra may have given her a nasty look. Not a fan of that Giatta.

Yea well it was a snooze fest. I will keep tuning in though.

I'm not a fan (never have been) of that Sandra Lee. What a skank.

I like Sandra Lee. Skank works, but I do enjoy me some skankage. I would never make anything on her show, but I love watching her and her story is amazing. I love Sandra and Paula.

Well, I'm glad I dont have such standards...it's a freakin' reality show, kids! Sit back and enjoy!

I thought the smack down of Sandra was funny...she IS a skank and her show is hideous. I love Giada and her show.

The biggest disappointment of this show is Bobby Flay...I cannot STAND him! ICK!

Bobby Flay has been overexposed for quite sometime now. He's another one I can't stand.

Lots of candidates for the Skank Tank over at the Food Network, Dottie! Bobby is at the top of my list...

Doodle, Paula and Sandra are at the top of mine! I say we just dunk that whole network and start from scratch.

I like Sandra cause she is really the girl next door. (or whore) Giada is a bit pretentious for my tastes. Her head is kind shaped like one of thsoe "Greys." I hate the way it's shot too, fake film look.

Cocktail time rocks and I love that she has the balls to use store bought crap in those recipes. LOL and the tablescapes. oh and the pièce de résistance her Kwanza Cake. '

Bobby Flay has a weird speech impediment. I really don't like any of the "real" chefs on there. They really nailed it with the core group being regular people. It works so much better, and they really have some serious hits on their hands.

ehh I really think the lose viewers when they get too serious. I do like Barefoot, she is just the right amount of sophistication and not over the top with it.

Mejust, at least we agree on Barefoot Contessa. She's definitely my favorite.

Regarding Sandra, I opt for "whore next door"!

Well, of course Sandra Lee liked the fake one, a girl after her own heart!

Former beauty queen...apron designer. She's bound to win.

re: Next Food Network Star ... anyone?!?

From her Bio:
"This former beauty queen designs her own line of chic kitchen aprons and brings glamour to the gourmet scene."

My jaw dropped when I saw former child actor Shane Lyons was a contestant. I met him several years ago, and he was such a great guy. He looks great now.

Former beauty queen and one of the five chefs to watch in Dallas according to "D" magazine. I have not eaten at her restaurant, but I know people who have. They say it is excellent.

This is the first season that I've started to watch and I like it. What are the shows that past winners have gotten? Are they still on the air?
