I need a couple of suggestions for a place to eat after an evening show on the Upper West Side. Just a place for a small group to sit, talk about the show -- and they won't rush us out. Reasonably priced (whatever that means) .
Thanks.

Posted: 5/18/12 at 8:20pmI like FISH TAG, on West 79th, right off B'way. In a nondescript brownstone, down a few steps. Been there about a dozen times. Always good. NOT a tourist place at all - mostly locals. I like the interior. Small dishes, vino, or a dinner. The lamb burgers are delish. You can look up reviews, I think on Yelp, etc.

What kind of food do you seek? And where on the UWS?
Sushi: Bamboo 52. West 52nd 9th.
BBQ: Chirping Chicken not fancy but inexpensive BBQ and you can sit outside on the patio if it is a nice night. You can also buy a bottle of wine and drink it with your meal as they don't have a liquor lic. They make great chicken and burgers and they are not rushing you.
Chinese: The Cottage across the street from Chirping Chicken on west 76th and Amsterdam. Inexpensive chinese with free wine. They do rush you so if you want cheap chinese with free wine go there and go to Chirping Chicken for coffee and amazing rice pudding.

Posted: 5/19/12 at 11:48amThanks for all of the suggestions. Bringing friends to a show, then they want to see Lincoln Center, and eat at the Upper West Side. I have no idea of their tastes, so all of these choices give me options. Thanks.

Reasonable, nice, not tourist traps.
JING, (cHINESE, Asian Fusion), (9th/47th, next to ESCO Pharmacy)
HOURGLASS TAVERN (everything). (small and quaint (46t/9th)
DANJI - amazing bulgogi sliders, (52nd/9th). Upscalish, non expensive Korean BBQ)
For Burgers: BURGER JOINT!: hidden inside the Parker Meridian nr. City Center 54th/7th). Just a burger joint, but yummy.
Brunch w/a group on the wkend at the restaurant at the YOTEL 4th floor! Asian/Latino Fusion. Amazing $35 prix fixe/unlimited drinks and food. Great city view from the 4th floor terrace. You don't have to be a guest. Another hidden treasure.
Good luck.
