As an actor, my biggest concern isn't compensation. It's the 'shoot, which performance did they capture and did I fudge it all up???' factor. It's the lack of control of which image of me is presented to the world. That's the thing that makes me kind of nervous.
But...then again, there's footage of my on Youtube singing CIRCLE OF LIFE after it had been "snowing" inside.
I look strung out, fat, and I sound terrible. But damn if it isn't funny.

Posted: 1/10/08 at 3:04pmcould this be some sort of fallout from the writer's strike? meaning, the producers are afraid that actors may follow the writers and demand that they get some sort of compensation for thier performances illegally showing up on youtube, so the producers are trying to "nip it in the bud" before it happens?

I have no idea! My witch friend, Jill, filmed and put it up. I saw it once (on the camera itself) and it killed me.
But mama needs to eat more salad.

Posted: 1/10/08 at 3:30pmIt's amazing how many people are pros at taping the shows. We catch them once in a while, but I bet there are many more who get away with it.
