"Your statement about members acting "childish" is more factual than you may realize--as you can probably tell from the various posts, we have many teens and early twenty-somethings on the Board." - Mary_Ethel
Obviously, there are points already made here. However, I did just want to say that my experience is that the 'children' of the board are many times the most open-minded, positive and respectful of the bunch. As I said, that's just my experience.

"I mean come on people, this is theatre we're talking about."
We talk about theater here? I haven't been off the OT board in SO long.

Posted: 11/30/04 at 6:02pmI agree that some people have no respect for others opinions, and maybe I'm one of those people. I just try to listen to others but fight for my opinion. No ones opinion is right.

I agree with DGrant. Even though he nearly flogged me on a thread once for referring to people older than 34 yrs old as "geezers", "fogies", or the like.

"Wow, my point is just being proven in abundance. Thankfully there some adults out there."
Oh yes, thankfully there are! All teenagers are just so immature and do not respect anyone's opinion. Of course every adult on this board acts like one...

Liam, you're such a sweetheart.
DGrant and Bwaytheater11- I agree. Some of the teens here are the sweetest, kindest people.
#40re: No Respect For Opinions
Posted: 11/30/04 at 9:11pmI have nothing against teenagers at all. Let me make myself clear. It's the dumb ones who shall be ridiculed.
#41re: No Respect For Opinions
Posted: 12/1/04 at 2:03amWhen I said "thankfully there are adults here" I didn't mean to imply that teenagers are the problem. The terms "childish" and "adult" that I used I was just referring to people's behaviour, not their literal age. As I realize that many times a sixteen year old can act much more mature than a thrity year old. Sorry if it offended anyone.

Stop apologizing! You've apologized so much that I feel guilty about something and I haven't done anything! What are you, Canadian??
(I can say that. I'm a Canuck.)
(Oh yeah, welcome to the boards.
