I'm curious about the 'shock' factor, as well. I've liked her in everything I've seen her in so far - sometimes, very much. And, just for icing, I think she's extraordinarily attractive. Why shouldn't she be able to sing - or do anything, for that matter?

I guess what surprised me is, we never discovered this before. Keep in mind, a few days ago I heard Scarlet Johanson's new song and it was not pretty.

I always liked Kiera, but just never thought she would be as good.

That's a nice change. She doesn't look like herself and she's not irritating.

And I love her voice. She DOES sound like Snow White.

Most of us don't expect a film actor/actress to be able to sing well, so maybe that's why the OP was "shocked." I get it.

If that's really her, I am very impressed. If the thread title was, Kiera Knightly singing, my mind would automatically go to Scarlett Johansson and her recent singing stint..

Yes! Exactly. I thought when I saw the Scarlet video it was a digital shirt for SNL and meant as a joke. When I heard she actually recorded a full cd my jaw dropped. Seems like so many actors are either in bands or want a side career as a rock star. I dismiss so many of them, so when can actually carry a tune it surprises me.

Apparently Keira auditioned for Christine Daae and they told her she couldn't sing...She sounds a hell of a lot better than Emmy Rossum.
