I just realized that my tape of all the RENT movie-related stuff was taped over!! I looked at my tv and noticed that the record light was on...i must of hit it when i turned it on! I feel dumb! Just wanted to complain! lol

I'm really sorry. A lot of stuff is floating around the internet, so hopefully you can find some of it there. Just for future reference, to make sure you don't record over a tape, break off the little square plastic tab on the back. It prevents the tape from being recorded on, and if you ever change your mind you can just put some tape over it.

Seriously. When you get a little older, you really won't care. I once had a video tape of all Evita-related Madonna clips and appearances and whatnot. I don't think it's even been watched since 1998.

Yeah, but I know the feeling! Even if it's something that you haven't watched in ages, you WILL get an urge to watch it once it's gone.

Someone "borrowed" a few movies from me a few months ago. I hadn't watched these films forever, but as soon as I realized I probably wouldn't be getting them back, I had an overwhelming desire to watch them all.

So, yeah, that sucks. I'm sorry. But like someone said, a lot of the stuff is floating around on the internet if you're really aching to watch that one appearance on Regis & Kelly or whatever.

Kringas, me too! As a teenager I used to tape anything related to Madonna and other interests (always gay), but I stopped watching them after a few years. Now the tapes collect dust and are used to record reruns of SIX FEET UNDER.

Well I did that once and I lived to regret it. So many times I wish I didn't tape over all my episodes of MARY HARTMANN, MARY HARTMANN!

BW - I was one of those people who had to tape every single thing, even beyond the Madonna stuff. If there was a movie on that I mildly enjoyed, I'd tape it. Favorite tv shows, etc. It all becomes too much for one man to take. I had to get off that ride.

ahh i'm soo sorry!! Earlier on I thought my mom taped over one of the first performances from RENT that I taped and I almost had a hearattack. Maybe you could get someone to send you their tapes? A lot of it can be found online.

I know the feeling. That's why albums I haven't listened to in over a year are taking up a s**tload of space on my iPod.

I'm also one of those people who likes to tape stuff. I have a whole stack of tapes in my room of various Kelly Clarkson TV appearances/performances, even though a good deal of what I've taped I've downloaded in better quality.

Awww, I know how you feel, I taped over The Today Show on mine, I taped MADE. My stupid friend likes Shoshana, so I acidently taped over, awww, I could still cry thinking about it...
