Posted: 6/16/05 at 5:20pmIs there such a thing as a boring state? If it's not earthquakes, it's tornadoes, hurricanes, floods... right wing republicans...

Posted: 6/16/05 at 5:29pmMove to Massachusetts. Nothing interesting happens here weatherwise. I do agree with Daydreamer on the right wing republicans though lol. I don't like Mitt Romney anymore. He keeps changing his opinion constantly. How good is the New York governor Anyway, back to the weatherwise stuff. Boston did feel a small portion of an earthquake a few months ago, but I didn't feel it at all so it didn't shake every town and city.

Posted: 6/16/05 at 5:35pmOH YEAH, we were at lunch, and tourists went screaming out of the restaurant...........we sat and ate, but this one bothered me, cause it rolled. 5.3 centered in Yuicapa, about 30 miles west of me

but the bigger picture, we've had two earthquakes near here, one in Napa, one off Crescent City, and the big one in Chile a couple of days ago, all in less than a week........
something is definately up
re: OK L.A. - Who felt the earthquake??#14
Posted: 6/16/05 at 5:37pmI'm new to CA. What's the difference between a rolling earthquake and a different kind? I just felt shaking.

There was actually a lot of coverage of was it Sunday's earthquake that triggered the Tsunami warning, because apparently several alarm systems failed in WA State.
Something is definitely up... and this area has been quiet for too long now...

Posted: 6/16/05 at 5:44pmthere are so many different kinds, shakers do just that, they shake....the sharp ones are a sharp jolt, or several jolts........but it's the rollers I hate.....it's like a rolling motion.....not fun, and you aren't sure when a roller will end, as it reminds you of a roller coaster, well reminds me anyway

Well, thanks Pip - but there's really not much to worry about. There's probably more people that have dies in the past few years by exposure to extreme northern winter temperatures
The fact is, Robert and I just got a little carried away - we'll try to keep things under control a little better from now on!
