Obama Ends The War in Iraq

Regarding Bin Laden, Bush deserves absolutely no credit. None. The Obama administration exhibited restraint and discipline that escaped the Bush White House. We'll never know, but if the Bush administration could have been as controlled as Obama's, they may have been able to catch Bin Laden years before.

That said, although I believe Bush will go down as one of the worst President's in history, he was very cooperative in the transition period to Obama.

Unfortunately a lot of his domestic agenda is almost worthless, including his health care insurance reform . The republican House will not fund it, or any other budget related act. Great ideas that will not come to fruition. We don't have the money, and Congress won't get us the money because it won't pass the revenue bills we need and with chronic high unemployment we won't be growing income soon.

Yeah, I guess we should just sit back and take the obstruction of the GOP, and not perhaps vote into office those who would actually serve the interest of their constituents. And, I am sure all of those parents who now can provide health benefits to their kids find it worthless.

The GOP will not entertain anything that will help the unemployed or the economy.

Do you want some wine with that cheese, or perhaps get to work, and recognize that we all have some responsibility for helping get his domestic agenda implemented.

Yet we'll be expected to have the money for Bank of America's Bailout 2.0 that was snuck through this week. Profits are private, debts are socialized.

From The Huffington Post, an interesting take on the subject.

One wonders what would have happened if Bush's deal had gone longer or immunity could have been negotiated. On the GOP side, the hysterics about this can been once again laid at the feet of Bush. The deal he negotiated ran out, and Obama would not keep trainers/advisers in Iraq without immunity.

So, while it is campaign promise fulfilled, he is spinning it in a way that plays to his base.

I am glad they are coming home, but the spin is something out of inception.

Wonder if Obama could have broken that contract in the last 2 1/2 years. It's not like anyone would have blamed him, stopping an expensive war after the stock market crashed.

Will it topple or not?
