Obama is one of the most intelligent presidential aspirants to ever step forward in American history. The likes of his intellectual capabilities have not been surpassed in public life since the Founding Fathers put pen to paper. His personal character is also solid gold. Take heart, America: we have the leader for our times.

I say this as a white, former life-long Republican. I say this as the proud father of a Marine. I say this as just another American watching his pension evaporate along with the stock market! I speak as someone who knows it's time to forget party loyalty, ideology and pride and put the country first. I say this as someone happy to be called a fool for going out on a limb and declaring that, 1) Obama will win, and 2) he is going to be amongst the greatest of American presidents."

Well, you gotta remember that a lot of the hype comes from people who really, truly believe in electing this incredibly smart guy who would happen to be the first African American president ever. Even if he's dreadful, he'll always have broken that wall for every non-white male to ascend to the highest level.

If he keeps his promises, the deficit will really increase . I guess when he does it, it will be Ok. If he does not & cannot keep his promises, he will naturally blame GWB . GWB will be the gift that keeps on giving for democrats for years to come. Either way, the GOP will who voted for him will regret it & the GOP will pick up a lot of seats in both houses in 2010.

Although I disagree with him on many issues, it appears he will win. I wish him the best & hope for the countrys sake he succeeds. Something tells me if the situation were reversed, not many people on the board would wish Mc Cain well. If Mc Cain had picked Romney instead of Palin, the race would be much tighter.Johnny threwa Hail Mary with Palin. The problem is it was intercepted & run back for a TD by the DEMS.

If the economy were humming along like 1 year ago, Mc Cain would be running away with it.
