Just a couple comments about some of the responses to my post.
1: "marc doesn't like black people and college students, interesting."
You don't know me so don't assume. Just because I don't find Obama inspiring doesn't make me a racist ( but its typical logic for a obama supporter. Clinton attacks him of some of his positions and she's a racist). On a side note - I actually campaigned for Rev. Jackson , even though I didn't think he had a chance, I just felt what he was saying was important.
Oh and I really like college students - especially male and cute.
2. I didn't say all Obama supporters were brain dead, I just said there was a large group that was. I have met many enthusiastic and shrill Obama supporters who have no idea what his position on issues are, they just like him because he says the word change and is "inspiring". I usually ask them, other than working the Obama campaign, do they do any other volunteer work: for the homeless, food banks, volunteer work in HIV....anything. They tell me no, they are too busy with their own lives: partying, dinner with friends, surfing the net.
I'm also told by the same people I don't understand Obama because I'm too old to "get" his message. Funny, because Obama is older than I am.
I will finish by saying there are a lot of people I admire who support Obama - maybe some day I will "get" his message, but right now he just seems like someone who can give a great speech and looks good in a suit. All style and no substance.
Having said all that - If he gets the nomination, I will do everything I can to assure he gets elected. Anything would be better than another 4 years of the same , and thats what we will get from McCain.

Marc, Liverpool's assumptions about you are no greater or lesser than yours of Mrs. Obama.
And I'm also unsure of your point that his supporters are less than altruistic: what does have to do with Obama's qualifications as a candidate?
Don't you imagine the same can be said of any politician's supporters?
We who don't support Hillary get labeled sexist and misogynist, so is that "typical logic" for her boosters as well?

I was only listing things that sour me on Obama, and some of his supporters (not his fault) sour me on his campaign. It's probably not a good reason, but it is how I feel.

I'm not sure why she would say no--but I think she would. It doesn't feel right.
But I hope she says yes.

Of course they aren't - but I have yet to hear a Hillary (or any other candidate) supporters screaming that we need change, and then questioned about what they are doing to help this change, the sad answer is - nothing.
The only thing that Obama seems to inspire in people is to vote for him. A truly inspirational person inspires people to want to make the world a better place.

YWIW-- I am not sure whether Bill intentionally sandbagged her or not....but; for better or worse he was always going to be her Achilles heel.
It never really mattered -- in the end Americans will vote for the old safe white man.

Sadly, I fear that McCain is going to win as well.
I guess that makes me a defeatocrat.

Um, Hillary made a HUGE deal about being for change in her debate with Edwards and Obama--don't you remember that?
John McCain will only win if Hillary is nominated--the Democratic turnout has been twice that of the GOP.
